FOR -SIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF A NEW CATERPILLAR TRACTOR FULLY
EQUIPPED, ALSO ONE WO -WAY SWEEPER COMPLETELf EQUIPPED, WITH
CREDIT GIVEN THE CITY FOP, THE OLD CATERPILLAR TRACTOR TO BE
TRADED IN, AND PROVIDING THE MANNER IN 'ad ICH SAID BIDS SHALL BE
SUBMITTED.
BE IT RESOLVED BY TIIE BOARD OF C01:MISSIONERS OF Ti'E
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the City P:.anager be, and he is hereby authorized
and empowered to advertise for bids for the purchase of one (1)
new Caterpillar tractor fully equipped, and also one (1) Two-
way sweeper, F.O.B. Paducah, Kentucky, with credit given the City
for the old Caterpillar tractor to be traded in on said new
equipment. The City 1,Ianager shall advertise for said equipment
by postin- up a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting
a notice of the request for bids in at least one issue of the
Sun -Democrat. The notices shall be posted and published for at
least seven (7) days prior to the opening of bids and the bids
shall not be opened within ten (10) days from the date on which
this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received after the
hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids re-
ceived by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice
,for the opening of bids shall be filed with the Eoard of Com-
missioners who may let the contract to the lowest responsible
bidder. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved and
the City of Paducah shall not become legally liable to purchase
said equipment until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing
the execution of a contract.
SECTION 2.
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
