AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE rIPLOYMENT OF YEAGER &
FORD, CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS, TO MAKE All AUDIT OF THE
ACCOUNTS OF THE CITY OF PADHCAH FOR THE YEAR 1944 IN CONSIDERATION
OF THE PAYMENT TO THEM OF THE SUM OF $2300.00
WHEREAS, certain bids have been sutmitted by Certified
Public Accountants for the auditing of all accounts of the City of
Paducah for the year 1944, and it appearing that the bid of Meager
& Ford in the amount of •;2,300.00 is the lowest and best; and,
WHEREAS, the law requires that an audit be prepared
annually, such audit mf the accounts of all city officers to be
made by qualified public accountants, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COI•R.tI.,SIONERS 0? THE CITY OF
PADUCAII, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That Yeager & Ford, Certified Public Accountants, be
and they are hereby employed to make an audit of the accounts
and affairs of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the year 1944 in
accordance with their written proposal for the price of ,p2300.00
and the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into and sign
a contract with said public accountants for the preparation of
said audit. Said Contract shall provide for the preparation of
an audit in compliance :with all of the provisions of Section 89,65C
of the Kentucky Revised'Statutes, and with the provisions of Ghapte
155 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1944, and said Auditors
(furnish to the City in pamphlet form 50 topics of said audit,
Ione (1) to be published in the official newspaper, and a copy
to be available to each voter who may apply for same at the office
of the City Manager. Said contract shall also provide for the
furnishing to the city eight (8) copies of the transcript of the
auditor's work uhett, one (1) copy to be furnished to the Mayor,
the members of the 1oard of Commissioners, the City 11anager aced
;the City Treasurer.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting
of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for not less than
one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in whcih
it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted, said
shall
ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
