AN ORDINA CE APPROPRIATING THE SUI. OF :;57,857.70 FOR PAYMENT
OF ONE-HALF OF THE PURCHASE PRICE FOR ALL OF TIIE PROPERTY ON THE
SOUTH SIDE OF KENTUCKY AVENUE BETIEEIT 9TH BnEET AILD 10TH STREET IP
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; PROVIDING FOR THE CONDEMNATION OF A
CERTAIN LOT OR PARCEL THEREOF O';]NED BY THE HEIRS-AT-LWd OF KELLY
FRANKLIN, DECEASED, AND AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF DEEDS TO ALL
OF THE RMAINDEP. OF SAID PROPERTY, THE SAME TO BE PURCNA3ED BY THE
CITY OF PADUCAH AND 1X CRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY, FOR U3E IN CONNECTION
WITH THE ESTABLISIMENT OF A CITY -COUNTY PUBLIC WEALTH CEIITER
:lHEREAS, the City of Paducah, Kentucky and i'cCracken County,
Kentucky, have secured from Mrs. Kary A. Eurwell an option to
purchase the property at 934 Kentucky Avenue for the sum of %""2515AL,
from Erie Overstreet an option to purchase the property at 215 South
9th Street, for the sum of ;;1100.00, from Oscar C. Leibel, et al.,
an option to purchase the property at 920-922 Kentucky Avenue for
the sum of :,;1100.00, and from Leo F. Keiler an option to purchase
the property at 207-209-11-13 South 9th Street and 900-04-12-14
Kentucky Avenue for the sum of u10,000.00; and,
°JHEREAS, options have been obtained for the purchase of all
property frontin- on the South side of Kentucky Avenue between 9th
Street and 10th Street with the exception of the lot at 926 Kentucl
Avenue owned by the heirs-at-law of Felly Franklin, deceased, and i
will be necessary to institute a conderanation proceeding in order t
acquire the title to said last mentioned 1 -it by reason of the
dssialbility of the owners thereof; and,
WHEREAS, it is believed that the sum of 5'J,000.00 will be
sufficient for payment of the purchase price for the aforesaid lot it
926 Kentucky Avenue; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable by the board of commissioners
and the fiscal court to exercise the aforesaid options and to proce d
with the condemnation of the lot at 926 Kentucky Avenue in order to
provide the necessary lands for the establishment of a new city-cou ty
health center;

OF TE CITY OF PAD"UCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the sum of '7,857.70, be and the same is hereby appro-
priated by the City of Paducah for payment of one-half of the purchase
price for all of the property on the South side of Kentucky Avenue
between Ninth and Tenth Streets to be used for the establishment of
a new health center by the City of Paducah and P.:c^racken County,
Kentucky, and that the amount so appropriated be charEed to the
contingent fund.
SECTION 2.
That the City of Paducah join with Uc Cracken County in
the acceptance of'a deed from each of the persons from v OM,
the aforesaid options have been obtained after the City
Manager and county Judge have been furnished eitl, an
attorneyvs title certificate shoeing that said owners ar
seized of good and marketable titles, free and clear
of all liens and encumbrances, and the Corporation
Counsel of the City of Paducah and the County Attorney
of McCracken County are hereby authorized to institute
in a court of competent jurisdiction a suit for con-
demnation of the aforesaid parcel of land located at 926
Kentucky Avenue, and to prosecute said suit to conclusio
as speedily as possiblo.
SEC TIO31 3.
This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular
meeting; of the board of commissioners and remain on file
at least one week for public inspection and in the
completed form in which it shall be put upon its final
passage, and if adopted it shall be in full force and
effect ten (10) days from and after its adoption.
