A RE30LUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE ACTIOPI OF
THE PADUCAH MMICIPAL HOUSING COIZIIS:;ION FOR THE CONDMINATION OF
CERTAIN REAL ESTATE, EASEMENTS, RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES IN LFi^1DS AND
THE IL1PROV0.1ENTS THEREON FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING 7,70 LO'.! COSH
HOUSING PROJECTS WITH IN THE CITY OF PADUC6:H, KENTUCKY, BY THE FILING
OF SUITS IN ORDER TO VEST IN THE PADUCAH MUNICIPAL HOUSING C01:II3,=1
THE TITLE TO SUCH PROPERTY AS 1;IAY BE REQUIRED FOR THE PURPOSE HEREIN
SET FORTH
WHEREAS, under and by virtue of an Act of the
Legislature of the Commonwealth of Kentucky adopted at its 1934 Ses-
sion, the Paducah Municipal Housing Commission may condemn any
interest, franchise, easements, rights and privileges in land or
improvements which may be necessary for the purpose of constructing
low cost housing projects within the City of Paducah, and,
1,'1HEREAS, the Paducah Municipal Housing Commission
are constructing two low cost housing projects within the City of
Paducah, and for such purpose it is necessary to acquire all of tine
lots and parcels of land within the following described boundaries:
On Project Ky-6-1
"Beginninm at a point, 13th & Clay Streets;
thence with the south line of Clay street to
14th street; thence with the east line of 14th
street to the corner of 14th & Madison; thence
at left angles vrith the north line of 1,:adison
street to 13th & Madison street; thence at left
angles with the west line of 13th street, Clay
street to the point of beginning."
On Project Ky-6-2
"From S.CJ. corner of Sth & Ohio with the east line
of Sth st. to the N line of Tennessee St; thence
with the N line of Tennessee St. to the E. lihe of
the alley between 7th & 6th streets; thence with
the west line of alley to the S line of Ohio St;
thence with the S. line of Ohio St. to the point
of beginning."
AND, WHEREAS, it has become necessary to condemn
certain property within the aforesaid boundaries, and to institute
suits to clear the title to certain other property embraced therein
in order to vest in the Paducah Municipal Housing Commission a good
and valid title to all property to be used for such purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COId-
MISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the action of the Paducah Municipal Housing
Commission for the condemnation of.' the hereinafter described real
estate for the purpose of constructing two low cost housin., projects
within the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be atthorized and approved, and
the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah is hereby authorized,
empowered and instructed to proceed by appropriate action in the
appropriate Court or Courts against the owners anil all persons having

interest in the lots and parcels of ground described as follows:

SECTION 2.
No suit shall be instituted for the condemnation of any of the
above described property or for the clearance of the title to the same
unless the Paducah 1.1unicipal Housing Commission shall be unable to ac-
quire title by voluntary conveyance, and such actions as may be necessary
shall be commenced immediately and prosecuted to conclusion as sppedily
as possible.
SECTION 3.
This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
