All ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF JAMES GILLEN AND
HIS WIFE, MARIE GILLEN, TO SELL TO 441E CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,
A CERTAIN LOT OR PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED AT THE NORTHVIEST CORNER
�JOF FOURTH AND CLJ:Y STREETS IN SAID CITY FOR U6E IN CONNECTION
WITH THE EXTENSION OF THE FACILITIES OF THE RIVERSIDE HOSPITAL,
AT':'D AUTHORIZING THE PAWENT OF THE PURCHASE PRICE Iii THE SUI;: OF
,750.00 OUT OF THE "PADUCAH MUNICIPAL HOSPITAL DEPRECIATIOi: FUND",
:7HEREAS, the Paducah Municipal Hospital Commission has
recommended tothe City of Paducah that the lot or parcel of land
located at Fourth and Clajr Streets be purchased for use in
connection with the extension of the facilities of the Riverside
Hospital; and,
WHEREAS, said Commission having filed with the hoard
of Commissioners a report shoirin-, the financial condition of said
hospital for the fiscal year ending September 30th, 1944, and it
appearing that there is deposited to the "Paducah.T,unicipal
Hospital Bond and Interest Redemption Fund" the sum of 5114,519.77,
said sum exceeding the amount which is required to be set,aside
into said fund at the end of the fiscal year, and it further'
appearing that the sum of :;¢4,935.22 has also been deposited
to the "Paducah iunicipal Hospital Depreciation Fund" and that
the cash balance now on hand, together with anticipated revenues,
will be suifioient for payment of the operating expenses of said
hospital during the.current fiscal year;
NOVI THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THL UEOARD OF COVU;:I.iSION
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, K_NTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the City of Faducah purchase from James Gillen and
his wife, Marie Gillen, for the sum of :x750.00 a certain lot of
parcel of land located at the Northwest corner of Fourth Street and
Clay Street, said lot fronting 65.75 feet on Fourth Street and
running back a uniform width 90 feet,, that said property be
sold and conveyed to the City of Paducah for the purpose of
extending the facilities of the Riverside Hospital, and that the
Paducah Municipal Hospital Commission be authorized to pay the
purchase price for said property out of the aforesaid hospital
iation fund.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
after its adoption.
