OF QUALIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS FOR THE H;EPARATION OF A:1 AUDIT
OF ALL ACCOUNTh OF THE CITY OF PADUCAIi, KENTUCKY, IN T!IE 'FEAR 19,
AND P?ESCRIBING THE MANNER IN V�,UICH SAID BIDS SHALL BE RECEIVED
BE IT RESOLVED BC THE BOARD OF CO.IQM;SLONERS OF TIIE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That H. G. IdcElwee, City i,iana`er of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be and he is hereby authorized and empowered to receive
bids of Qualified Public Accouhtgnts for the preparation of an
audit of all accounts of the City of Paducah, said audit to be
prepared in compliance with all of the provisions of Section
89,650 of the Kentucky Revised :"tatutes. Each bid shall set forth
the amount which the bidder proposes to charge for an audit
and for preparin., a report showing the result of an examination
of all accounts of the citJ and of all of its officers, and for
furnishing the city im pamphlet form fifty (50) copies of said
audit, one (1) to be published in th,: offielal newspaper and a
copy bd be available to each voter who may al --,ply for same at the
office of the City Manager, and als..) for furnishing to Said city
eight (8) copies of the transcript of the Auditor's work sheet,
one copy to be received by the board of Gon2icsioners as a permane
record, one copy to be delivered to the Mayor, to each of the
members of the Board of Commissioners, the City Manager and the
City Treasurer.
SECTION 2.
Bids shall be received by the City i::anager not later than
November 13th, 1944 at 10:00 o'clock A.P.?., and all bids must be
submitted under seal. He shall advertise for bids by notice poste
at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for
bids in at least one issue of the Sun -Democrat, said notice to be
published at least seven (7) days prior to the opening of bids.
No bid shall be received after the hour fixed for the opening
of said bids, and they shall be filed rith the board of Commission
who shall let the contract to the lowest responsible bidder.

SECTION 3.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids,
and shall not become legally liable or obligated to employ an and
