AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE CITY
PLANNING AND ZONING COLIMSION PROVIDING FOR THE ZONING OF
CERTAIN PROPERTY ON BOTH SIDES OF ADAI4S STREET AS A BUSINESS
DISTRICT OR ZONE, AND PRESCRI ING THE PENALTY TO BE IMP03ED
FOR VIOLATION OF THE RESTRICTIONS SET FORTH IN A RESOLUTION
ADOPTED BY THE CI'T'Y PLA14NING AND ZONING COMMISSION ON SEPTEMBER
11th, 1944
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SEC TION 1.
That upon the recommendation and request of the
City Planning and Zoning Commission as shown by its final
report embodied in a Resolution adopted by it on September 11th,
1944, all of the property abutting on both sides of Adams Street
extending; back for deptWto the center line of each block and
running from the west poupdary If the present .business district
on 6th Street to the east property line of 8th Street, is
hereby declared to be a business district within the meaning of
the City Planning and Zoning Commission Law.
SECTION 2.
Any property owner, tenant or other person who
erects, Xconstructs or reconstructs any building in violation
of or contrary to the aforesaid provisions of this ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a miksdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof shall be fined in any sum lot less than :10.00 nor
more than $100.00 for each offense so committed, and each day
such offense is committed shall be deemed a separate offense
and shall be subject to a separate penalty under the provisions
1vreof, or the person so offending or so guilty of violation
of the provisions hereof, may, in addition to such fine be
imprisoned not more than fifty (50) days at the discretion
of the Judge or Jury trying the case.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after dots adoption.
