A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEEDS TO FIVE
TRACTS OF LAND TO BE USED FOR THE ESTABLISMZ" NT AND OPERATION OF A
MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE, AND ALSO FOR BRIDLE PATHS ACROSS TS3E PROPERTY
THEREIN CONVEYED,
WHEREAS, pursuant to an ordinance adopted
by the Board of Commissioners on the __day of June, 1939, the City
of Paducah agreed, subject to the terms and conditions therein con-
tained, to accept title to certain lands to be purchased by the
Paducah Junior Chamber of Commerce for use as a municipal golf
course; and,
WHEREAS, the Paducah Junior Chamber of
Commerce has paid the entire consideration for the purchase of six
tracts of land on which said golf course shall be established, and
the owners of said lands have this day tendered to the Board of
Commissioners their deeds to said property;
NOLI, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY 413E
BOARD OF COMIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the City of Paducah accept, for the
use and purposes hereinabove stated and subject to all of the terms
and conditions contained in the aforesaic ordinance, certain deed of
cinveyance executed by Terry Thompson and his wife Ada Nevoort
Thompson, to the City of Paducah, dated June 30th, 1939, under which
they convey to the City of Paducah the following described property
located and being in McCracken County, Kentucky, and more particularl;
described as follows:
"Lying and being in P,icCracken County, Kentucky, and
more particularly described as follows: Beginning
at a stake marking the intersection corner of the
North line of Beyer Avenue extended with the East
line of Oak Avenue as platted in Plat Book "A" in
McCracken County Court Clerk's Office; thence South
16 degrees 41 min. West along the East line of Oak
Avenue A distance of 569.1 feet to a stake; thence
South 76 degrees 54 min. East a distance of 567.0
feet to a stake; thence North 19 degrees 10 min.
East a distance of 601.8 feet to a stake in the line
dividing property owned by Terry Thompson and Julia
Bradshaw Rahr; thence North 73 degrees 26 min. West
along said dividing line a distance of 591.9 feet
to a stake marking the Northeast end corner of Oak
Avenue; thence North 16 degrees 41 min. East along
the East line of Oak Avenue a distance of 66.9 feet
to the point og beginning, containing 8.11 acres,
and being in all respects part of the same property
conveyed to L:'illiam V. Acker and Rosena W. Bradshaw,
widow, to Terry Thompson and his wife, Ada Newport
Thompson by deed dated November 16th, 1938 and of
record in Deed Book 199, page 147 I;icCracken County
' Court Clerk's Office."
SECTION 2.
That the City of Paducah accept, for the
use and purposes hereinabove stated and subject to all of the terms
and conditions contained in the aforesaid ordinance, certain deed of
conveyance executed by Julia Bradshaw and her husband Fred Rahr to

CITY OF PADUCAH, dated June 30th, 1939, under which they convey to the
ty of Paducah the following described property located and being in
Cracken County, Kentucky, and more particularly described as follows: j

"Beginning at a point, the Southeast intersection of Jackson
Street and 31st Street, if extended; thence with the South
line of Jackson Street 542.28 feet to the point where the
right of way of the P & I R.R. Company intersects the South
line of Jackson Street; thence in a Southeasterly direction
with the West line of the right of way of the P & I R. R.
Company, a distance of 179.1 .feet to the South boundary of
Sewer Zone 4-A, the point where the South boundary of Sewer
Zone 4-A intersects the ',iest line of the right of tray of the
P & I R.R. Company; thence in a Giesterly direction with the
South boundary bf:-Sewer Zone 4-A and along a line parallel
with Jackson Street a distance of 542.28 feet to a point;
thence in a Northwesterly direction along a line parallel
with the P & I R.R.Company right of way a distance of 179.1
feet to the point of beginning, containing 2.15 acres, more or
less, and being in all respects the same property an un-
divided one-half interest in which visa acquired by Julia
Bradshaw Rahr through deed from Eloise Bradshaw McDonald and
her husband, J. K. McDonald, on October 16th, 1937 as recorded
in Deed Book 193 page 316, McCracken County Court Clerk's
Office and the other undivided one-half interest in which
was acquired by Julia Bradshaw Rahr from her father W. E.
Bradshaw, Jr., by and 'through his will as recorded in Will
Book "F", page 420, L;cCracken County Court ClerkIs Office,
or was acquired by said Julia Bradshaw Rahr by inheritance
from her father."
Tract No.2
"Beginning at a stone on the West line of Oak Avenue, said
stone being 66.9 feet North of the Northwest intersection
corner of Oak Avenue with Beyer Avenue as platted in Plat
Book "A", in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office;
thence South 73 de-rees 27 min. East along the dividing line
between the Rahr property and property owned by Terry
Thompson a distance of 1177.7 feet to a stone on the bank
of a creek; thence North 2 degrees 38 Min. East a distance
of 933.5 feet to a stone on the '::est line of the P & I R.R.
Co. right of way; thence ITorth 46 degrees 05 ?'.in. West
along said West right of way line a distance of 1280 feet to
a point in said line; thence South 21 degrees 11 Min. Wiest
a distance of 567.5 feet to a point in the North line
of a 10.5 acre tract owned by B. B. Hook; thence South 73
degrees 20 Min. East a distance of 230.0 feet to a stone j
marking the corner of said Hook tract; thence South 16
degrees 34 IRin. West along the East line of the B. B. Hook
property a distance of 928.6 feet to the point o$ beginning,
containing 30.02 acres more or less; and being in all
respects the same property an undivided one-half interest
in which was conveyed to Julia Bradshaw Rahr by Eloise Brad-
shaw McDonald and J. K. McDonald, by deed recorded in Deed
Book 199, page 191, McCracken County Cd)urt Clerks Office,
and the other undivided one -.half interest in which was acquired by
Julia Bradshaw Rahr through the will of her father, W. F.
Bradshaw, Jr., as recorded in Will Book "E"page 420, McCracken,
County Court ClerkIs Office."
SECTION 3.
That the City of Paducah accept, for the use and
purposes hereinabove stated and subject to all of the terms and
conditions contained in the aforesaid ordinance, certain deed of
conveyance executed by Burnley B. Hook and his wife Euple Hook to
the City of Paducah, dated June 30th, 1939, under v:I:ich they
convey to the City of Paducah the following described pnoperty 41
located and being in McCracken County, Kentucky, and more
particularly described as follows:
"Lot No.3 in the Henry Beyer Sub -division
as shown by Plat in Plat Book "A" page 88, McCracken
County Court Clerk's Office, and beginning at a point

on the North side of Beyer Avenue as shown on said
plat, 1858.5 feet from the point of the intersection
of said Beyer Avenue and the Lovelaceville Gravel
Road; thence with the dividing line between lots
#3 and #4, in a Northwesterly direction 995 feet
to the intersection with the Bradshaw line to a
stake, thence with the Bradshaw line and in an East-
erly direction 460 feet to a stake at a corner of
this lot; thence with the line between this lot and
W. F. Bradshaw and in a Southerly direction 998 feet
to a stake in the intersection of Beyer Avenue to its
present terminus, and this 998 foot line is parallel
with the 995 foot line; thence with the line of Beyer
A venue and in a Westerly direction 460 feet to the
beginning point, containing as shown on said plat, ten
and one-half (102) acres, more or less; and being in all
respects the same property conveyed by Bernice
Bennett, unmarried, to Burnley B. Hook by deed dated
May 29th, 1925, and recorded in Deed Book 167, page
456, McCracken County Court Clerk's Office."
It is to be understood that the W. F. Bradshaw tract
as mentioned herein was owned by V1. F. Bradshaw at
the time the plat herein referred to was made, and
that this W. F. Bradshaw tract was mentioned herein
is now owned by Eloise Bradsha: McDonald, and this
description is to be construed in relation to this
change of ownership.
SECTION 4.
That the City of Paducah accept, for the use and purposes
hereinabove stated and subject to all of the terms and conditions
contained in the aforesaid ordinance, certain deed of conveyance
executed by Eloise B. McDonald and her husband, J. K. McDonald, to
the City of Paducah, dated June 30th, 1939, under which they convey
to the City of Paducah the following described property located
and being in McCracken County, Kentucky, and more particularly
described as follows:
"Beginning at a stone on the North line of Beyer
Avenue, said stone being 460 feet West of the in-
tersection corner of the North line of Beyer
Avenue with the hest line of Oak Avenue as platted,
in Plat Book "A" in the McCracken County Court
Clerkts office; thence N. 73 deg. 011 VJ along the
North line of Beyer Avenue a distance of 920 feet to
a stone corner; thence N 16 deg 341 E a distance of 988
feet to a stone; thence N 73 deg. 201 W a distance of
20.0 feet to a stone; thence continuing along the same
course N 73 deg. 201 IV a distance of 566.9 feet to a
point in the South line of Jackson Street, a 66 foot
street; thence Northeasterly along the South line of
Jackson Street a distance of 822 feet, more or less to
the corner of property owned by Julia Bradshaw Rahr,
or the intersection of the East line of 31st Street
if extended with the South line of Jackson Street;
thence S 46 deg. 051 E a distance of 179.1 feet, with
the line of Julia Bradshaw Rahr to a point; thence
N 58 deg. 351 E a distance of 542.28 feet with the line
of Julia Bradshaw Rahr, to a point in the West right
of way line of the P & I R.R.Co. right of way; thence
S 46 deg. 051 E along said R.R' right of way line a
distance of 728.1 feet to the Northwest corner of
property owned by Julia Bradshaw Rahr; thence S 21 deg.
111 W a distance of 567.5 feet to a point in the North
line of a 10.5 acre tract owned by B. B. Hook; thence
N 73 deg. 201 W along Hook's North line a distance of
230 feet to a stone corner; thence S 16 deg. 341 eJ a
distance of 993 feet to the point og beginning, con-
taining 42.94 acres more or less."
By his Will, recorded in Will Book "F" page 423,
McCracken County Court Clerk's Office, 71. F. Bradshaw:,
Jr., dequeather and devised all of his property to
his widow, Rosena '?J. Bradshaw, except his interest in
the above described property which passed either by
will or by inheritance to his only heir at law Julia
B. Rahr, Eloise Bradshaw McDonald, at the deatA of

W. F. Bradshaw Jr., held an undivided one-half
interest in and to the property above described,
and the interest of Julia B. Rahr, and her husband,
Fred Rahr, of Scarsdale, New York, and the interest i
of Rosena 1;7. Bradshaw was conveyed to Eloise
Bradshaw McDonald by deed dated June 30th, 1938, and
recorded in deed book 199 page 196, McCracken County
Court Clerks Office. The above property conveyed
contains 42.94 acres."
SECTION 5.
That the City of Paducah accept, for the use and purposes
hereinabove stated and subject to all of the terms and conditions contain-
ed in the aforesaid ordinance, certain deed of conveyance executed by
-illiam V. Acker, and Mrs. Rosena 1,V. Bradshaw to the City of Paducah,
dated June 30th, 1939, under which they convey to the City of Paducah the
following described property located and being in McCracken County,
Kentucky, and more particularly described as follows:
"Beginning at a point at the Northeast corner of
the property on the East side of the Paduca and
and Lovelaceville Road owned by S..
his wife Yable Phipps; thence in a Southerly
direction along the East property line of C.A. Leutervnayer
and S. E. Phills 90.34 feet to the property line of
Ulrich Beyer; thence in an easterly direction along
the said line of Beyer 825.5 feet more or less'to a stone
at the northeast corner of Ulrich Beyerd;s land; thence
north 38 degrees 15 minutes east 301.6 feet,more or less,
to a stone; thence along the line of the l'l.F. Bradshaw
farm north 72 degrees 35 minutes west 613.3 feet, more
or less to the south line of Jackson street; thence
along the south line of Jackson street in a westerly
direction to the east property line of C.R.C. Leigh;
thence along the said line of said Leigh to a point
191.03 feet from the east line of the Paducah and Love-
laceville Road; thence in a southerly direction to the
point of beginning. Being a part of the same property
which was conveyed to John K. McDonald and W. F. Brad-
shaw by I,4atilda E. Demert, by deed dated February
13s
1924, and recorded in Deed Book 138, page

part of the same property in which the undivided one-
half interest of John K. McDonald was conveyed by him
to William V. Acker, by deed dated September 4th, 1936
and recorded in Deed Book 189 page 468, and in which
the undivided one-half interest of V,'. F. Bradshaw was
devised by him to his wife, Rosena Bradshaw, by a V,'ill
recorded in Will Book"F" page 240, McCracken County
Court Clerk's Office.

SECTION 6.
This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
