AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF CROFT AND ADAMS
CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE MODULAR
CONVENIENCE CENTER TO BE LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF WATER AND
JEFFERSON STREETS AND, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Croft and
Adams Construction, Inc., in the amount of $254,454.00, for furnishing the City with one
modular convenience center to be located at the corner of Water and Jefferson and
Jefferson Streets for the downtown area, said purchase being in substantial compliance
with the bid specifications, advertisement for bid, and as contained in the bid of Croft and
Adams Construction, Inc. of February 4, 2002.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Croft and Adams Construction, Inc. for furnishing the City with one modular
convenience center which will house an information center and male/female restrooms as
authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal, and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This purchase shall be charged to account number 040-
8821-536-2307 (PF0021).
SECTION 4. In order to complete this project by May an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one
reading.
