All ORMANCE. PROHIBITING GE.IING, AND ?nOVIDING PEnALTY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY.
SECTION 1.
Whoever shall suffer or permit any game or table, bank,
machine or contrivance used in betting whereby money or other
thing may be won or lost, to be set uD, conducted, kept or
exhibited, in any house, boat, float, or on any premises in his
possession or under his control, or shall lease the same or any
part thereof for that purpose, shall be fined not less than Two
Hundred & Fifty ($250.00) Dollars, nor more than Five Hundred
($500.00) Dollars for each offense. After proof of the setting up,
conducting, keeping or exhibiting of such table, bank, machine,
contrivance or game, in any house, boat, float or place, it shall
be presumed to have been with the permission of the person -owning,
occupying, possessing or controlling the same, unless the contrary
be clearly proved.
SECTIO14 2.
Whoever shall suffer any game whatever, at which money
or property is won or lost, to be played in any house, boat, float,
or on premises in his occupation or under his control,,shall be
fined not less than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars nor more than
Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars for each offense.
SECTION 3.
Any person who engages in or plays at any game, table,
bank, machine or contrivance, set up, managed, operated, kept or
conducted in violation of any of the provisions of this ordinance
shall be fined not less than Fifty ($50.00) Dollars nor more than
one Hundred ($100.00) Dollars for each offense.
SECTION 4.
Any Bank, tabl , contrivance, machine or article used
in carrying on such game or games or any of them mentioned and
described in Section 1 herein, together with all money or other
�things staked or exhibited to allure persons to bet, may be seized
by any police officer with w.• without a warrant; and upon conviction
of the person suffering or permitting any such game, table, bank,
machine a contrivance to be set up: conducted, kept or exhibited
. in any house, boat, float or on any premises in his occupation or

under his control shall be forfeited for the use of the City of
Paducah, and be confiscated, destroyed or disposed of in the
discretion and under the judgment of the Police Court.

SECTION 5.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
