WHEREAS, it appears to the satisfaction of the Board (of Commissioners that certain property along and contiguous to the Ohio River and between Pionroe Street and Campbell Street and Fifth I�Street in the C"ty of Paducah, is needed for park purposes, and for �Ithe purpose of improving and making said property more attractive and sanitary, and Eor the purpose of improving the health conditioni and removing certain nuisances within the City of Paducah, and it 1appearing that the acquisition of said property can be acquired onlj �by condemnaion, and the same is therefore needed and required for ,public purposes; NOVI THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COM- 21ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: it SECTION 1. t That a certain boundary of property within the City of+ IlPaducah and consisting of all of that property extending North from i,Monroe Street abutting the Ohio River, and bounded on the 1'lest by 'Second Street as far :4orth as -iadison Street, and Third Street as far Borth as Harr :son Street, and, excluding the Riverside Hospital I prooerty, Fourth Street as far 'north as Park Avenue, and Park Avenue and Fifth Street to Ca,:;)bell Street, is needed and is nesess- ary for 11unicipal Park purposes, and said property should be improved.so as to eliminate certain unsanitary conditions existing thereon, and to improve the health condition of said City. SECTION 2. For the purpose of instituting such needed and necessary proceedings as may be required for the acquisition and condemnation of said property, the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah is hereby authorized, empo,re;ed and instructed to prodeEd by condemnation or other appropriate action in the appropriate Court or Courts against the ovmers and all persons having interest in said property, and said action is directed to be commenced immediately and to proceed to as speedily a conclusion as pos,,ible.
