A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF NECESSARY
MATERIALS FOR USE IN IMPROVING CERTAIN STREETS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, PROVIDING FOR THE SEGREGATION OF THE FUNDS CONTRIBUTED
FOR SUCH PURPOSES, AUTHORIZIX0 THE CITY MANAGER TO CAUSE SAID
IMPROVEMENTS TO BE MADE AND TO BE PAID FOR OUT OF SAID FUNDS,
AND REQUIRING THE USE OF SAID FUNDS ONLY FOR :SUCH IMPROVE11ENTS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COP.':,:IISSIONERS OF THE'
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
The plans to improve streets with funds voluntarily
contributed by the abutting property owners :is hereby approved;
and the City Manager is authorized to receive such funds so
contributed, and cause the same to be kept separately from City
funds, and he may cause the same to be deposited in an authorized
City Depository in an account separate from all other City funds,
and he may purchase the necessary materials and procure the
necessary labor and equipment for the improvement of said streets
by the use of oil, tar or other materials as is necessary in so
improving said streets; and to cause the same to be paid for
out of the funds contributed therefor by abutting property owners
along said streets so to be improved, and he will keep accurate
account of all funds so contributed with the names of the
contributors and the blocks and parcels of streets to be improved
with said funds, and such improvements shall be .paid for out of
such funds upon check, voucher or draft drawn by the City Auditor
and countersigned by the City ?tanager; and for the purpose of
carrying into effect this resolution, the City Clanger is
authorized to sign any and all contracts for the purchase of
material, and for the use of machinery and payment of labor, and
such work shall be done under his direction and supervision.
SECTION 2.
This Resolution shall be in full force and, effect from
and after its adoption. G/
