A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE CONDEMNATION OF
CERTAIN PROPERTY FOR PARK PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, it appears to the satisfaction of the Board
of Commissioners that certain property adjacent to Bob Noble Par::
which is a publicly owned City Park of the City of Paducah, is
needed for park purposes and for the purpose of enlarging said
Park, and the Board of Park Commissioners having requested in
writing that necessary action be taken by the City of Paducah
for the purpose of acquiring said property, and it appearing
that the acquisition of said property can be accuired only by
condemnation.
NOV:, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
CO-ylISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That a certain boundary of property adjacent to the
City of Paducah and contiguous to Bob Noble Park, and being a
part of the Henry Baumer Estate and containing approximately
Eighty (80) acres, more or less, is needed and is necessary for
Park purposes, and that likewise another description of property
adjacent to and contiguous to said Bob Noble Park and belonging
to W. T. 2.4c Cutchen or his estate or grantee under a deed now in
litigation and consisting of an undetermined amount, but not
exceeding five (5) acres, is likewise necessary and needed for
Park purposes, and both of said descriptions of property are
needed for the enlargement of Bob Noble Park and the accomodation
of the recreation facilities thereat and therein.
SECTION 2.
For the purpose of instituting such needed and
necessary proceedings as may be required for the acquisition of
said property by condemnation, the Corporation Counsel of the
City of Paducah is hereby authorized, empowered and instructed
to proceed by appropriate action in the appropriate Court or
Courts against the ormers and all persons having interest in
said property; and said action is to be commenced immediately
and proceed to as speedily a'conclusion as possible.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from its adoption.
