HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 9, Page 940, No Ordinance NumberPage 990 AN ORDINA.NCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF A TAX WHICH HAS BEEN LEVIED BY THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF THREE (30) CENTS ON EACH ONE HU11DRED (0.100.00) j DOLLARS VALUATION OF REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, SUBJECT TO TAXATION FOR THE YEAR 1935, FOR THE SUPPORT AND '1AINTENANCE OF THE TEACHERS RETIREMENT SYSTEM. ;1HEREAS, the Board of Education of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, did on the 26th day of parch, 1935, adopt a Resolution by which it imposed and levied an ad valorem tax of Three (3;) Cents on each One Hundred (0100.00) Dollars valuation of Real and Personal property in said City subject to taxation for the year 1935, for the support and maintenance of a Teachers Retirement System, and said tax levy was not embraced in the levy I made and recommended by said Board of Education for General i School purposes, or for the creation of a sinking fund to retire bonds and obligations and School Improvement Bonds of said School system. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO!EIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That pursuant to Resolution adopted by the Board of Education of the City of Paducah on the 26th day of March, 1905, a certified copy of which resolution has this day been received by the Board of Commissioners of said City, and in which resolu- tion there is imposed and levied an ad valorem tax of Three (30) Cents on each One Hundred (0100.00) Dollars in valuation of real and personal property of the City of Paducah subject to taxation for the year 1935, for the support and maintenance of the Teachers Retirement System: Nov; pursuant to said Resolution, there is hereby levied for the year 1935, upon all the taxable sroperty subject to taxation for School purposes in said City an ad valorem tax of Three (30) gents on each One Hundred (,1100.00) Dollars of valuation for the support and maintenance of' the Teachers Retirement System. SECTION 2.
