AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE LEVY AND FIATE OF' TAKATION ON
ALL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, SUBJECT TO
TAXATION FOR Lt'JidICIPAL .PURPOSES AND FOR SCHOOL PURPOSEES FOR
THE YEAR 1935, AND THE RLTE OF POLL TAX .";ITII THIN PURPOS ' OF
SAID LEVY TH_REUNDER DEFINED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO:.lidISSIOiIERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
There is hereby levied for the year 1935, upon all
taxable Property within the City of Paducah, Kentucky, real and
personal, subject to taxation for municipal Durposes an
ad avalorem tax of One and 43/100 (s;1.43)Dollars upon each One
Hundred (;�100.00)Dollars valuation of taxable property in said
City, pursuant to Section 157 of the State Constitution to defray
the cost of maintaining and administering the Government of the
City of Paducah for the year 1935, and to cover the esti.:aced
cost of maintaining and operating the departments and agencies of
said Government pursuant to the annual budget prepared and
submitted to the Board of Commissioners by 'the City Manager and
approved by the Board of Commissioners. Said tax rate of One
and 43/100 (5^1.43) Dollars shall and does include Nineteen (19)
Cents ;rhich is hereby set apart for all siri=ing fund purposes.
There is also hereby levied a poll tax of One and 50/100 (:;1.50)
Dollars on each male resident of the City of Paducah over 21
years of age for the year 1935. The rate of taxation for the
estimated expendigures of each department of the City Government,
and for such other purposes as are deemed to be necessary for the
proper maintenance and administering thereof, with the amount
appropriated for each of said departments and purposes are set
apart in the budget and apportionment which has been adopted and
Provided for by the Board of Commissioners and set out in said
Aaportionment Ordinance, and the amount of levy provided in this
Ordinance are.necessary and required in order to provide the
revenue adequate to meet the requirements of said Apportionment
Ordinance.
SECTION 2.
There is hereby levied for the year 19 5, a tax of
Tr:enty (.20) Cents on each One Hundred ([;;100.00) Dollars of the 11

and engaged in business in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and of
Rational Ban'.s doin, busine: s in said City.
And there is further levied a tax of fifteen (.15)cents

on each One Hundred (46100.0j) Dollars of the fair cash value of
all unmanufactured agricultural products subject to taxation
within said City for general municipal purposes, and all of said
taxes provided for in this section, are levied and to be
collected for the year 1935, and to be used for general municipal
purposes, and all of said taxes provided for in this section,
are levied and to be collected for the year 1955, and to be used
for general municipal purposes.
SECTION 3.
All Revenues derived from licenses and from all other sources,
collected and paid into the City Treasury, shall be distributed
to their respective accounts in the same proportions as
ad valorem taxes hereinbefore provided for, except revenues and
the sources thereof -r;hich have not been considered in making up
the Apportionment Ordinance; and in the event of the collection
of any other revenues or receipts of other income ••:hich Inas not
considered in mating up the Apportionment Ordinance, same shall
be credited to the general fund.
SECTION 4.
The Board of Education of the City of Paducah, pursuant to
authority vested in it under its Charter and the lairs of the
State of Kentucky, have adopted a resolution requesting therein,
that the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah should
levy an ad valorem tax on all property in said City for School
purposes and also an ad.valorem tax upon such property for
sin'cing fund purposes. Now, pursuant to said resolution, there
is hereby levied for the year 1935, upon all the taxable
property subject to taxation for school purposes an ad valorem
tax of Ninety (.90) Cents on each One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars
of valuation of real and personal property in the City of
Paducah for the support and maintenance of Public Schools in
said City, less the esti+uated sum to be received from the State
Common School Funds; and there is likewise hereby levied and
imposed an ad valorem tax upon all such real and personal
property subject to taxation for school purposes in the City
of Paducah for the year 1935, Seventeen (.17) Cents u,on each
One Hundred (:,:100.00) Dollars of valuation of such property
for the purpose of creating a sin'•.ing fund for t' e 9ayment of
bonds for the City of Paducah issued for school purposes, and
the payment of interest u on such bonds as and ;hen the same
may become due. And there is hereby further levied a tax of
Forty (.40) Cents on each One Hundred ('100.00) Dollars of the
fair cash value u_on all t'jc s -hares of stock of State Bank's and
Trust Comp,.nies Incorporated under -the lams of this Co!mion.';ealth
and engaged - in business in the City of Paducah, Kentucd:y, and
of all National Banls doing business in said City for the year
1935, and which tax so levied shall be for the support and
maintenance of Public Schools of said City.
