AN ORDINANCE F1.X.iNG THE LICENSE TAXES FOR OPERATORS
OF BEAUTY PARLORS.

C. -TY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That on and after the first day of January, 1934
and on the same day .in each succeeding year thereafter it
shall be unlawful for any person, fir:n,coaipany or corporation
to engage in the business of operating a Beauty Parlor,
including complexion specialists, hairdressers, manicurists,
masseurs, chiropodists and beauyy schools, until such person,
firm, company or corporation shall have first paid into the
City Treasury of Paducah, Kentucky, the amount of license tax
herein provided. And if said -tax be not paid or procured
on or before the first day of February in each year there shall
be added to such license tax a penalty of ten per cent (l0a),
provided that such penalty shall not be effective until the
first day of ilarch 1934. Said license fees hereby required
to be paid shall be as follows:
For every Beauty Parlor having more than -
one operator' . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 25.00 per yr.
For every Beauty Parlor having only

SECTION 2.
Any person, firm, company or corporation engaging
in or carrying on the business of a Beauty Parlor as herein -
defined, without having first procured the license and paid
the license tax thereon as herein provided shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor and upon conviction in police court shall
be fined not less than Five (1n5.00) Dollars nor more than
Twenty (,$20.00) Dollars and each day that such business, trade,
or organization is carried on without the payment of said
license tax_ shall be considered a separate offense and be
proceeded against accordingly.
SECTION 3.
Taxes required by this ordnance to be paid shall
be covered into the General Funds of'the City of Paducah,
Kentucky.
SECTION 4. i
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
