HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 9, Page 851, No Ordinance Numbergi AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE BUSINESS OF SELLING AT ViHOLESALY AND RETAIL, FRUITS, VEGETABLES, PRODUCE, NUTS AND MANUFACTURED AND UNMANUFACTURED PRODUCTS FROM TRUCKS OR OTHER VEHICLES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COIL-IISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY. SECTION 1. That every person, firm, company or corporation before engaging in the business or occupation of selling at wholesale or retail from tucks or other vehicles either at wholesale or retail, any fruits, vegetables, produce, nuts or any other articles, whether manufactured or raw,. shall pay a license tax to the City of Paducah of Fifty ($50.00) Dollars per year in advance and no person shall so engage in said business without first having procured such license. This ordinance shall not apply to any persons maintaining lawful licensed places of business in the City of Paducah; and this ordinance shall be treated as an addition to or e, -.tension of existing license ordinances and no part of any existing ordinance shall be deemed to be repealed by any of the provisions of this ordinance except to the extent that it conflicts with the same. SECTION 2. Any person, firm, company or corporation engaging in business described in Section One hereof, without having first procured the license herein described, shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than Five ($5.00) Dollars nor more than Fifty (t50.00) Dollars for each violation thereof and each day such person, firm, company or corporation shall so engage in said business, without having first procured said license, shall constitute a separate offense. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall. be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. i Signed Mayor Passed by the Board of Commissioners February 12th, 1934.
