AN ORDINANCE CLOSING CERTAIN PARTS OF 71ILLETT
STREET BETWEEN 13TH AND 14TH STREET IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT SAID WILLETT STRFET BE 40 FEET
IN WIDTH FROM 13TH STREET TO 14TH STREET.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COM?,IISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH , KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That what is known as Willett Street, from the
South property line of 13th Street to the North property line
of 14th Street, formerly Williams Street, be closed and
abandoned except the driveway consisting of a strip 40 feet
in width; and that part of said street to be closed and abandoned
is described an follows:
"Beginning at a point 20 feet blest of the
Southeast intersection of 13th and Willett
Streets, said point being 417.42 feet ',!est of
the Southwest intersection of 13th and Faxon;
thence at an interior angle of 91 degrees in
a Southerly direction and parallel with the
East property line of Willett Street a distance
of 361.5 feet to a point in the North property
line of 14th Street; thence at an interior angle
of 89 degrees in an Easterly direction along
the North property line of 14th Street 20
feet to the Northeast intersection of 14th and
Willett Streets; thence at an interiop angle
of 91 degrees in a Northerly direction and
along the East property line of 5`Iillett Street
361.5 feet to the Southeast intersection of
Thirteenth and Willett Street; thence at an
interior angle of 89 degrees in a !7esterly
direction and long the south property line of
13th Street 20 fect to the point of beginning."
The above described strip 20 feet in width being
located on the East side of i'Jillett Street, as shown by the plat
of G. L. and R. L. Jones, recorded in Deed Book "U" page 59,
in the office of the County Court Clerk of McCracken County,
Kentucky, leaving said street 40 feet in width between 13th and
14th Streets.
It is the purpose and intention of this ordinance
to establish the South line of Willett Street 20 feet Westwardly
from the line established in the Plat of G. L. and R. L. Jones
recorded as aforesaid, and to make said street 40 feet in width,
as shown by plat of Faxon Addition, recorded in Plat Book "A"
page 8, McCracken County Court Clerks Office.
All the property :11estwardly from the said 20 foot
strip described herein is hereby declared to be and to constitute
Willett Street between 13th and 14th Street; and said 20 foot
strip as described herein is hereby closed, and all of that part
of said street or part of said driveway that is.hereby closed,
is to revert to and become the property of the lots and parcels
of land abutting thereon.

SECTION 2.
The City Solicitor is hereby authorized and directed
to immediately file a suit in McCracken Circuit Court for the
purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of this ordinance,
and closing said street, and reducing same to a 40 foot street
between 13th and 14th street.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall take effect from and after its
passage.
