AS FOLLOWS: GRAVEL CONSTRUCTION, 39 FEET IN WIDTH $1.80 PER ABUTTIN(

GRAVEL CONSTRUCTION, 24 STET IN WIDTH $1.25 PER ABUTTING FOOT;
INTEREST $0.026080549 PER ONE DOLLAR OF CONSTRUCTION COST; ENGINEER-
ING $0.039333223 PER ONE DOLLAR OF CONSTRUCTION COST FOR THE CON-
STRUCTION Or SAID STREETS BY GRADING AND GRAVELING, AND PROVIDING
THAT THE COST OF SUCH CONSTFUCTION, INTEREST, EXTRA WORK AND
ENGINEERING BE CHARGEABLE TO AND ASSESSED AGAINST THE PROPERTY
RECEIVING THE BENEFIT OF SAME, AS SHOWN BY THE ENGINEERIS ESTIMATE
AND ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER OF PUBLIC WORKS, AND
PROVIDING THAT SAID ASSESSMENT MAY BE PAID IN TEN EQUAL INSTALLMENTS,

TENNESSEE STREET, FROM THE WEST PROPERTY LINE OF 25TH STREET TO A
POINT WHERE A RIGHT ANGLE LINE TO TENNESSEE.STREET TURNED FROM THE

SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF TENNESSEE STREET WOULD INTERSECT THE NORTH

ACCORDANCE SITH THE, PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS PROVIDED THEREFOR BY

WHEREAS,in accordance with said ordinance, it was provided
that the cost of the construction of said streets be paid for by the
abutting property owners on both sides thereof, except that portion to be
paid by the City of Paducah, as required by law; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said ordinance a contract was entered
into on the day of _1926, between Fraser & Cocke,
contractors, and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the construction there-
of; and
=-REAS, said contract has in all respects been ~om-
pleted and the work thereof finished and accepted by the Board of Com-
missioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky on the 25th day of April,1928,
pursuant to the recommendation made therefor by the Commissioner of
Public Works of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and pursuant to a motion
made by said Commissioner, which motion was 'July adopted by the Board
Of Commissioners; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY T14: BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THs CITY
DF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY;
SECTION 1.
That all of the property on both sides of Tennessee
(Street, from the West property line of 25th Street to Elm Street; and on
125th Street, from the South curb line of Jackson Street to the North curb
Gine of Tennessee Street; and on Elm Street, from the South curb line of
ennessee Street to the West curb line of Mississippi Street; and on 24th
Street, from the South curb line of Elm Street to the South property line
of Norton Street; and on Norton Street, from the East curb line of 24th
Street to the test curb line of (,Mississippi Street, in the City of Paducal
Kentucky, be and the same is hereby assessed for the cost of construction
>f said streets the sum of, gravel construction, 39 feet in width, $Joao
)pr abutting foot; gravel construction, 37 feet in width, 01.60 per
ibutting foot; gravel construction, 24 feet in width, $1.25 per abutting
oot; interest $0.026080549 per one dollar of construction cost; engineer -
ng 00.039333223 per one dollar of construction cost, by grading and
raveling same, as shown by the Engineers estilmates on file in the
ffice of the Commissioner of Public %iIorks, which estimates are made part
ere of
SECTION 2.
That all of the funds derived from the assessment of said
roperty aforesaid shall be used for the purpose of paying off the tax
ills issued against said property, or such bonds as may be issued by the
ity of Paducah pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes.
SECTION 3.
That pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes,
as amended and re-enacted and now in force, said assessments may be, at

he option of the property owners, payable in cash within thirty
lays from the date of the passing and recording of this ordinance,
ir in ten annual installments, pursuant to the provisions od said
>tatutes.
SECTION 4.
In order to provide a fund for the immediate payment
)f the cost of that portion of the special assessments herein pro -
aided for, and which may be paid on the ten year installment plan,
is hereinbbfore provided for, the City of Paducah may issue and sell
improvement bonds, and to secure the payment of which bonds, there
is hereby pledged such taxes and liens upon the prope ty assessed
herein for the payment of the principal and interest on such bonds,
but such bonds shall not be sold for less than par, and the proceeds
thereof applied exclusively to payment for the improvement of said
streets as hereinbefore mentioned, and such bonds, if issued, shall
bear interest, and shall be payable in accordance with the pro-
visions of Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes, as amended and
Ire -enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky
and now ik force and effect.
SECTION 5; ' t
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
rom and after its passage, record and publication:
