"!RERF.AS, death has claimed a beloved member
of the Board of Commissioners of Paducah, Kcntu.cY.y in the
passing of Emmett L. holt, and.
Emmett L. Holt was an earnest faithful
and helpful counsellor to the officials of this City during
the period of his r.Tembership on said Board, and
' MI.RFAS, the personnel of the Police Department
and the Fire Department loved Emmett .Holt for his fair and
unselfish leadership and conduct of the De-cartment of Public
Safety, and,
"'ITER?AS, the employees of the City of Paducah
throughout all departments held him in high and affectionate
esteem,

SECTI OPI 1.
That the City of Paducah has lost an honest,
fearless and faithful official whose greatest ambition was to
serve the general welfare.
SECTION 2.
That the Board of Commissioners has lost an
able executive .,hose counsel in deliberations was invaluable and
whose courage and ability in administering the department of
Safety, were unquestioned.
SECTION 3.
That all of the officers and employees of the

City have a deep sense of oc-rsonal loss and are conscious of the j
misfortune our community has sustained in his death.

That this resolution be published and a cony 1I
thereof be given to his family. I
