A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE RESIGNATION OF
MR. JAMES P. S741TH AS A MEMBER OF THE BOARD I9I017N AS
COMMISSIOIiF.RS OF WATER WORKS .
Whereas, Mr. James P. Smith was appointed and assu
his duties as a member of the Board known as Commissioners of
;Fater Works in Paducah, Kentucky, in thetear 1930, and
Whereas, he has tendered his resignation from said
Board effective November 14th, 1932, N0:" THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CM.7fISSIOITERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY.
SECTION 1.
That the resignation of !,Jr. James P. Smith as a
member of the Board knoti'm as Commissioners of ',later Works be
received and accepted; and that in so accepting said resignation
the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah express their
appreciation of his able and efficient service to the Slater Clorks
in particular and to the community in general, during the period
of his membership on said Board of ';later Commissioners. During
the period of his membership on said Board the difficult task of
taking the property over from its former owners and reorganizing
it as a municipally owned property was accomplished only by
laborious and self-sacrificing effort on the part of the
Commissioners of ;later 57orks, and the result of their labors is
that today the property is in first class condition and the
personnel of the organization is doing a fine, efficient work.
SECTION 2.
That a certified copy of this resolution be furnished
to Mr. Jaynes P. Smith. %
