AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF CLERK'TO
THE JUDGE OF THE CITY PCZICE COURT AND FIXING THE SALARY THEREFOR.
V7HEREAS, Section #2157 of the Kentucky Statute
as amended by the 1932 Legislature reads as follows, to wit:
"The judge of the Police Court shall have the authority to
appoint a clerk of his court, who shall receive for his services
such salary, as the General Council or Board of Commissioners shall
fix by ordinance, providing, however that such salary shall not
,exceed $ 1,800.00 (nor be less than $600.00) per annum." and
WHEREAS, Roy Holman, Judge of the Paducah Police
Court has ordered that Bonylin Holman be appointed as clerk of the
Paducah Police Court as provided by the law of the State of
Kentucky,/ quoted above, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH:
SECTION 1.
That the position of clerk to the Judge of the
Paducah Police Court is hereby created.
SECTION 2.
That the salary for the clerk of the City Police
Court is hereby fixed at $ 50.00 per month.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall take effe�Ct immediately
upon its passage, approval and publication.
