HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 9, Page 716, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THF FX^CUTION OF A DEED BY THE MAYOR ON THE PART OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, TO THE GULF REFINING COl PARTY TO A CERTAIN PIECE OF P ROP RTY AT OR NEAR SOUTH THIRD AND ELIZABETH STREETS, IN PADUCAII, IPI CONSIDERATION OF THE DFDICA1TION BY THE GULF REFINING COMPANY IPI PERPETUITY FOR CITY PURPOSES CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT OR NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF THIRD & ELIZABETH STREETS, IN PADUCAH, KENTUCKY. BE IT ORDAIPrED BY THE BOARD OF COW"ISSIONFRS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: That, the Mayor of the City of Paducah be authorized and directed to execute a deed to the Gulf Refining Company, on behalf of the City of Paducah, the following described property: "Beginning at a point in the Fasterly boundary of Broad Street at its intersection with the Northeasterly line of Third Street as relocated: thence with said line of Third Street N. 47 Deg. 48' 17. 73.39 feet to the Southeasterly intersec- tion of Third Street and Elizabeth Street as relocated; thence with the Southeasterly line of Elizabeth Street N. 58 Deg. 40' E. 51.40 feet to Gulf Refining Company's lot; thence with Gulf Refining Company's land S. 74 Deg. 21' E. 30.48 feet to point in old easterly line of Broad Street; thence with old Easterly line of Broad Street and westerly line of Gulf Refining Company's property S. 15 Deg. 32' w: 70.38 feet to place of beinning. Further reference is made to plan entitled "Proposed relocation of Third Street from Elizabeth Street to Broad Street, Paducah, Kentucky E. R. Bradshaw, Commissioner of Public 7!orks, January, 1932." Same being done in consideration of the dedication by the, Gulf Refining Company to the City of Paducah in perpetuity for City purposes, the following described property: "All that certain lot or parcel of land situated at the intersection of 'third, Broad and Elizabeth Streets. Beginning at the southwesterly corner of Third and Broad Streets, which is also the Northeast corner of property conveyed to Gulf Refining Company by South Side Realty Company by Deed dated December 19th, 1931; thence Southwardly with the '.7esterly line of Broad Street 41.5 feet to the Southwesterly corner of Third and Elizabeth Streets as relocated; thence Northeastwardly r;ith the Southeasterly line of Elizabeth Street 19.09 feet to the old Southwesterly intersection of Third and Elizabeth Streets; thence with old southerly line of Third Street 42.14 feet to place of beginning as shovin on plan entitled "Proposed relocation of Third Street from Elizabeth Street to Broad Street, Pad,c ah, Kentucky, F. R. Bradshaw, Commissioner of Public Works, January, 1932." Being a portion of the tract conveyed to Gulf Refining Compnny by South Side Realty Company by Deed recorded. in Deed Book , Page in County Clerk's Office, I5c racien CounTy, Kentucky. Page: Page 717 Said f,+ayor will deliver such deed to said Gulf Refining Company upon the execution and delivery to him, for the City of Paducah, of said dedication referred to. THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE ARID EFFECT FRO?.' AND AFT7R ITS PASSAGE.
