HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 9, Page 689, No Ordinance NumberPage X89 AN ORDINANCE FIXING SALARIES AND COMPENSATION OF ELECTIVE OFFICERS OF THC CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FROM THIS DATE ON, AND NAMING THE SALARIES WHICH ARE TO ATTACH TO VARIOUS ELECTIVE OFFICERS AND APPOINTEES, AND FURTHER PROVIDING FOR A REDUCTION OF TEN PERCENT (10%) OF ALL Et+iPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, NOT SPECIFICALLY NAMED IPI THIS ORDINANCE, SUCH 10% REDUCTION TO BE BASED UPON THE WAGES AND SALARIES NOVI IN FORCE, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IPI CONFLICT WITH TRIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION #1. That, whereas, the Mayor is entitled to re- ceive from the City Four Thousand ($4,000.00) Dollars, per year, and each Commissioner is entitled to receive Three Thousand Six Hundred ($3,600.00) Dollars per year, and whereas by unanimous consent of said ;Mayor and four Commissioners, it is now ordained that from this time on the said Mayor shall receive for his services rendered and to be rendered Three Thousand Six Hundred 53,600.00) Dollars a year, and said Commissioners are to receive, each, for their services rendered and to be rendered Three Thousand Two Hundred Forty (,13,240.00) Dollars per year, all of which shall be paid monthly. SECTION # 11. It is further ordained that the following officers to be appointed to manage the affairs of the respective offices to which they are appointed, as follows, shall obtain, to wit: City Health Officer 5a 100.00 per year City Physician, 1500.00 "It Asst City Physician 600.00 City Auditor 1800.00 " Asst City Auditor 1200.00 " Special Bill Clerk 1500.00 City Stenographer 1200.00 " City Clerk 1000.00 License Inspector, 1200.00 " Assessor, 1500.00 Meat and Milk Inspector 1200.00 Market Master, 1320.00 0 Page 690 All of which shall be paid to said respective officers semi-monthly, on the 5th and 20th day of each month. SECTION # 111 Excepting all of the elective and appointed officers taken care of in the foregoing Section, it is ordained that all other employees of the City, and the salaries going to each under the noir existing Ordinance and Ordinances in force, shall be reduced Ten Percent (101o), and each shall receive from this day on Ninety Percent (90,0) of what has heretofore been paid in all other branches of the City Government, except those set out and defined hereinbefore stated. SECTION # 1V All Ordinances, or parts of Ordinances, Resolutions or Motions in conflict With this Ordinance, or any part thereof, are hereby repealed. SECTION V. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, record and publication.
