WHEFEAS, Decker Court as originally laid out and platted

in the Tifton heights Addition to Paducab in 1895 was shown to be 100
feet in width and there was an alley 20 feet in width extending from
Gregory Avenue to Broadway, and
!`.TrPEAS, after said olatting was made 1'e Afton Heights
Company and its successors caused said property to be replatted so as to
reduce the width of i;ecker Court to 45 feet, tal.ing off 55 feet t>'ereof
from the eastern side and adding it to Block No.16 of said addition and
entirely closing the alleyway extending; from Gregory Avenue to Broadway
in block No.17, and
i1L •'i;A •, said property was outside the city limits of the
City of raducah at the time of said pin.ttir_g and replatting, and the
same remained outside of the city limits of the City of Paducah for more
than fifteen years after said platting and replaL-ting and before the said
property was included within the City by an extension of the city limits,

said alley and the closing of said Lecker Court by reducing the width
thereof to 45 feet so as to estailish said Court on the vicst side of
what was the original Decker Court as established by the plat of the

SECTION 1.
''hat the alley extending from Gregory Avenue on the north
to Broadway on the south in block No.17 of Afton ileights, and that 55
feet off of the east side of Decker Court in block No.16 of Lefton
heights having heretofore been closed by action of Afton heights Company,
and having been so closed for more than fifteen years before said addit'
was taken into the city limits of Paducah, be, and the same are hereby
closed, abandoned and discontinued, and the property therein in said

alley to revert to the owners of said property as shown by the replatting
thereof after the said alley was closed, and the closed part of Decker
pourt to become the property of the abutting property o::ners on the east
side thereof, and the CitY :olicitnr is hereb- authorized, cmnor•ered and
9irected to institute an action in 1.1curacken Circuit court for the
purpose of closing said alleyway and of closing said eastern hart of said
leclrer Court to the amount of 55 feet on the east side thereof, and he

SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage.
