BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COTAMD�SIONEI_-;S OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. No person shall take or use any water furnished or supplied through the water works system of the City of Paducah for domestic or other nur)oses without contracting for the same as now, or as may hereafter be nrovided, and until otherwise provided by ordinance, the terms of the franchise of the Paducah 'Jater ';forks Company which was purchased by the City of Paducah on the 31st day of October, 1930, shall ,overn the method and manner of contracting for the use of said water. No person not an officer or an employe of the City of Paducah or of said water works distribution system, or not h.rving a permit from one duly authorized to execute the same, shall turn on or off any dater from any main, distributing pipe, shut-off box or other device; nor open, injure or otherwise interfere with any shut-off box or water meter; nor shall anyone permit ti:rater to be taken from his premises by one not having a permit or license so to take or use s^id water; nor shall anyone injure, tamper with or unscrew any nut or other fastening device on or ab�-i.,t any fire )lug. Any p,rson, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this section shall to deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined in any sum not less than Five (;,5.00) Dollars nor more than One Hundred (�.;100.00) Dollars for each and every violation hereof. SECTION 2. It shall be the duty of any and all policemen on all beats to report- any injury, breakage or damage to any .fire plug or to said water system in any way, which report- shall be made to the Chief of Police as promptly and as soon Ps discovered. Any person committing any act of tresuass or injury to any of the property connected tzith and belonging to the water works system of the City of Paducah not specifically defined in the first section hereof shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined in any sum not less than Five ($5.00) Dollars, nor more than One Hundred (5100.00) Dollars. SECTION 3. All ordinnnees and parts of ordinances in conflict with this or•dinan^e are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed, ^nd this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage., Signed�c��/�.'( -" _l.
