SECTION 1.
That pursuant to the provisions of the franchise of the
Paducah '.'pater !'forks Comoany and of Chanter 1::7 of the Acts of
the General Assembly o,: Kentucky, 1926, as amended by Chapter 92
of the "cts of the General Assembly of Kentucky, 1930, the City of
Paducah has elected and hereby elects to purchase for cash the
properties of the Paducah "later '7orks Company, and to demand
delivery of all right, title, privilege and franchise in said
-s ter works and all property connected thereDith, for the amount of
the award of the arbitrators selected for the )urpose of making
said award, to -:•pit: One Million ;`Tine Hundred T,.enty-seven Thousand
Eight Hundred Nine Dollars (5x1,927,809,00), as provided in said
franchise and law aforesaid.
SECTION 2.
In order to expeditiously conduct the negotiations incident
to the transfer and delivery of sqi" water works properties to the
City of Paducah, the Idayor is hereby authorized and empowered to
give any and all notices, to sign any ani' all papers and documents
in connection therewith, and to conduct any and a. 1.1 negotiations
necessary or proper in consumn^ting said sale, transfer and
delivery of said water works to the Cite of Paducah.
SECTION 3.
Passage.
This ordinance shall take effect from and after its
