AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CND DECLAPING '.PI -IF DEDICATION
OF NINFTEFNTH'STRFFT FP.OM JEFFFPSON STFFFT NORTEVARDLY TO MJhDISON
STREET IN THF CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY.
WHTRFAS, the City of Paducah is the owner of a strip
of ground between Jefferson and Monroe Streets 50 feet in width,
consisting of two lots numbers 1 and 18 in Block number 2, Fountain
Park Addition to the City of Paducah, as shown by deed bearing date
of July 6, 1921 of Paducah Realty Company to the City of Paiuesh,
recorded in Deed Book 126, page 618, and the said City of Paducah
is also the o,:vner of the strip of ground bet:aeen Monroe Street and
14adison Street 50 feet in width, conveyed by deeds from E.R.Bradshaw
and Lizette Schafer; said deed from F.R.Bradshaw bearing date of
June 8, 1922 and recorded in Deed Book 140, page 48, and the deed
from Lizette Schafer bearing date of 12th day of June, 1922 and
recorded in Deed Book 140, page 40, McCracken County Court Ulerk}s
office. Said two strips of ground lying between 17th and 21st
Streets in the City of Paducah and running parallel with them,
and
WHEREAS, said two strips of ground were acquired for
the purpose of laying a trunk line sewer therein, and said sewer
having been laid in said two strips of ground, the City of Paducah
thereafterwards converted said strips of ground into streets and has
continuously since then used them as public thoroughfares and it is
now desired that said property be dedicated for street purposes,

SECTION 1.
Nineteenth Street, from Uefferson Street to Madison
Street, between 17th and 21st Streets, consisting of a strip
of ground 50 feet in width and formerly being lots numbers 1 and 18
in Block number 2, Fountain Park Addition, and -also that certain
d'trip of ground 50 feet in width extending from Monroe Street to
Madison Street, between 17th and 21st Streets, and consisting of a
strip of ground 50 feet in width adjoining and abutting upon the
west line of Fountain Park Addition, conveyed to the City of Paducah
by E.R.Bradshaw, and also that 50 foot strip of ground conveyed to
the City of Paducah by Lizette Schafer and abutting upon the west
line of said Fountain Park Addition; said two 50 foot lots
constituting 1 strip of ground 50 feel; in width extending from
Monroe Street to Madison Street having heretofore been acquired by
the City df Paducah by deeds aforesaid and having been converted
by said city into public thoroughfares, and having, fore more than

five ,years been in use as streets and driveways, be, and the some are
hereby declared to be estaUlished and dedicated streets.
SECTION 2.
Upon the adoption and publication of this ordinance said
described lots, tracts and pmroels of land shall thereupon become and
be public dedicated streets within the City of Paducah and knovm as
Nineteenth Street between Jefferson and Madison Streets,
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall take effect from and after its
