BE IT ORT r INED BY TITS BOARD OF CO?,U,1ISfIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH., KRTITUCKYP SECTION 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and empowered to sign and acknowledge a deed to be knol:-'n as Deed of Exchange of Real Estate between the Paducah & Illinois Railroad Company and the City of Paducah, and known and described as certain boundaries in connection with the changing and opening of certain streets between Jefferson and Broadway Streets and 30th Street and LaBelle Avenue. Said deed being a joint deed will become effective only when it has been signed and acknowledged by the Mayor of the City of Paducah and by the proper officials of the Paducah & Illinois Railroad Company and a copy of same delivered to the City of Paducah and the Paducah r. Illinois Railroad Company haspa,id the considerations specified in said deed, and the City of Paducah has paid the considerations specified in said deed, and by said deed the City of Paducah is to receive a strip of ground on the east side of the railrond erpbankment and 31st Street between Broadway and Jefferson Streets, 40 feet in width and extending the full distance from Broadway Street to Jefferson Street and fronting apnroximately 41.66 feet on Broadway, and fronting apnroximately 41.82 feet on Jefferson Street; and the Paducah & Illinois Railroad Company is to receive parcel No.2, being a triangular strip of ground fronting apnroximately 60 feet on Broadway on the west side of said railroad embankment and in what was formerly a part of 31st Street, and parcel No.3 being a triangular strip of ground on the east side of LaBelle Avenue between Jefferson and Broadway Streets, and parcel No.5 being a strip of ground lying between LaBelle Avenue and parcel No.2 aforesaid, and being the closed part of Broadway Street on the north side thereof, and parcel No.6 bei the closed part of Broadway street immediately abutting and between parcel Nol 1 and parcel No.2 aforesaid. Also parcel No.7 being that' part of 31st Street as originally platted by the '"lest End Improvement Company and now occupied by the embankment or fill of the Paducah & Illinois Railroad Bomnany between Jefferson Street and Broadway Stre Page 510 SECTION 2. Upon the adoption of this ordinance and the execution of said deeds aforesaid, the Commissioner of Public Finance is hereby authorized and directed to pay to the Paducah & Illinois Railroad Company the sum of Two Hundred Four & 50/100 ($204.50) Dollars, being the difference in the amount of sewer improvement taxes that it has paid upon said parcel 110.1 aforesaid and the amount of sewer improvement tax paid by the City of Paducah on parcel No.2 aforesaid as•'described in said deed of conveyance to be executed as aforesaid, and as shown on the plat of said properties attached to said deeds. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its adoption.
