WFEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah
Centubky has heretofore on the 29th day of April, 1929 adopted an

'.4-HFrFAS, in accordance with said ordinance it is provided
that the cost of construction of said driveway, together with all
necessary curb, gutter, driveways, manholes, intakes, catch .asins,
dra9n tile and server pipe, and all necessary engineering, advertising
and legal and clerical service in connection therewith and all other
:work done thereunder be paid for by the abutting property owners on
sides thereof, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said ordinance a contract was entered
into on the day of ,1929, between Southern Roads
Company, Contractors, and the City of Paducah, Kentucky for the
construction thereof, and
iJH'EREAS, said contract has in all respects been completed
and the work thereunder finished and accepted by the Board of
Commissioners of the City of Paducah on the 20th day of Jaluary,
1930, pursuant to notice duly given and inspection of said work and
the recommendation of acceptance made therefor by the Commissioner
of Public Works of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and pursuPnt to
R motion made by said Commispioner,"which motion was duly adonted
by the Board of Qommissioners, NOW, THERFFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THF BOARD OF COM1.1ISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY;
SECTION 1.
That all of the property on both sides of the following
iriveways in Wallace Park }addition to the City of Paducah,
to -wit:
dsple Lane, from the west property line of the Lovelaceville Road
to the south property line of Buckner Lane Road, or Broadway
extended; Forest Circle, from the west property line of Maple Lane
to the east property line of Sycamore Drive; Sycamore Drive, from
the south property line of Buckner Lane Road, or Broadway extended,
to the north property line of the Blandville Road; Forest Circle,
from the east property .line of Sycamore Drive to the west property
line of the Lovelaceville Road; 'Nallace Lane, from the north

property line of Forest Circle to the south property line of Forest
Circle; Cedar Lane, from the west property line of Wallace Lane to the
south property line of Forest Circle; Clark Street extender', from the
west property line of the Lovelaceville Road to the east property line
of Wallace Lane, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as shown by the
Engineer's estimates, be, and the same is hereby assessed for the cost
of construction of an improved or asphalt street with all necessary
curb, gutter, driveways, manholes, intakes, catch basins, drain tile
and sewer pipe, and all necessary engineorin7l advertising and legal
and clerical service in connection therewith. All of said work has
been done under the ordinance and contract aforesaid and said assessment
is as follows, to -wit:

As shown by the Engineer's Estimates on file in the office of the
Commissioner of Public !'forks, which estimates are arlopted and made part
hereof.
SECTION 2.
That ?11 of the funds derived from the assessment of said
property aforesaid shall -be used for the purpose of paying off the tax
bills issued against said property, or such bonds as may be issued by
the City of Paducah pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes.
SECTION 3.
That pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes,
as amended and re-enacted and now in force, said assessments may be, at
the option of the property owners, payable in cash within thirty days
from the date of the passing of this ordinance, or in ton annual
installments, pursuant to the provisions of said statutes.
SECTION 4.
In order to provide a fund for the immediate payment
of the Cost of that portion of the special assessments herein provided
for, and i,,rbicb mpy be paid on the ten year installment elan, as
hereinbefore provided for, the City of Paducah may issue and sell
improvement bonds, and to secure the payment of which bonds there is
hereby pledged such taxes 'and liens upon the property assessed herein
for the payment of the principal and interest on such bonds, but said
bonds shall not be sold for .less than par, and the proceeds thereof
applied exclusively to payment for the improvement of said street as

hereinbefore mentJoned, and such bonds, if issued, shall bear
interest and shall be payable in accordance with the provisions
of Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes, as amended and re-enacted
by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and now
in force and effect.
FECTIOW 5.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage, record and publication.
