LEASING PRICE, AND AUTHORIZING THE DELIVERY ONE ONE STUDEBAKER

".FHEREAS, it has become necessary for the City of Paducah
to purchase or provide a nes- automobile for the use of the Chief of the
Fire Department, and there are no sufficient unappropriated funds on
hand for the current year out of -which the full purchase price of said
automobile could be paid, and
EPEAS, the Katterjohn-Melton Company have agreed to lease
to the City of Paducah one new 11T4son Sport (Model Coupe for such purpose
aforesaid, and which automobile is val ued at Fourteen Hundred Fifty-five
($1455.00) Dollars, and the said Itatterjohn-;Melton Company have agreed
to take on the leasing or purchase price of said car, an old Studebaker
car now in use by the Chief of: the Fire Department at the price of Three
Hundred Fifty ($350.00) Dollars, and will convey said automobile to the
City of Paducah by the pa -mens of Eleven Hundred and Five (s��1105.00)
Dollars on or before the 15th day of February, 1930, and will immediately;

allow the City of Paducah to have the use of said car in its fire
department as aforesaid, NUM, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COteh1IS IONERS
OP THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY;
SECTION 1.
That the M-syor is h(,reby authorized and empowered to sign
a contract or lease and option with the Kattcrjohn-(Melton Company for
the leasing to the City of Paducah of a certain new. llu< son Sport Model
Coupe of the agreed value of Fourteen Hundred Fifty-five ($1455.00)
Dollars for use by the Chief of the Fire Department, by making a payment
on said leasing contract by delivering to the said Katterjohn-Melton
Company one old Studebaker automobile now in use by the Chief of the
Fire Department at the agreed price of Three Hundred Fifty ($350.00)
Dollars, and with provisions that tl^e City of Paducah may pay to the

said Katterjohn-Nelton Company the further sum of Eleven Hundred
and Five (k1105.00) Dollars on or before the 15th of February, 1930
in full of the balance of the agreed valuation of said automobile, and
that upon the payment thereof the legal title to said car shall vest
absolutely in the City of Paducah.
SECTION 2.
On account of the fact that the Chief of the Fire
Department is in great need of said new automobile at once and it is
necessary that he be supplied with a car immediately, an emergency is

hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shell take effect from
and after its passage.
