AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND EMPOWERING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE DEED OF CORPECTION TO CERTAIN REAL ESTATE TO HECHT S.LACKEY.
WHEREAS, on October 15, 1926 the City of Paducah
through J.N.Bailey, Mayor, executed and delivered to Hecht S. Lackey a
deed to a small strip of ground abutting upon 13th Street and Trimble
Street (now Park Avenue) in the City of Paducah for a cash consideration
then paid and the further consideration that the purchaser was to assume
and pay certain sevier and street improvement' taxes then pending against
said property, and the said Hecht S. Lackey having paid the consideration
for said purchase and sale and having assumed all of said taxes, but it
appearing that said deed was irregular in that the execution and
delivery of same was not properly authorized by the General Council of the
city, now in order to correct said error in said procedure and to
validate said deed and to vest the title to said property in the said
Hecht S. Lackey correctly
BE IT ORDAINED BY THF BOARD OI' CO1rT�:r1IS, ION'_'RS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KFNTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and
empowered. to execute a deed of correction to property to Hecht S. Lackey,
which was heretofore conveyed to him by the City of Paducah on the 15th
day of October, 1926 by a deed duly executed by the Mayor of the city
at that time, but the execution of which was not properly authorized
by the General Council", said property being described as being at the
northeast corner of the intersection of 13th Street and Trimble'Street
(nom Park Avenue), and fronting 18 feet, more or less on the North side
of Park Avenue, or Trimble Street, and extending back northwardly from
Avenue and along 13th Street 150 feet to an alley.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be in force and effect from
and after its passage.
