-AN ORDINANCE .FIXING THT LEVY OR RATP OF TAXATION ON
PROPTFRTY IN THF' CITY OF PADUCAH, KENT'-CKY, FOR TTIE YEAR 1929, AND
TT'E RATE OF THP POLL TAX, '71TH TTIF PUPPOSES OF SAID LEVY THDMUNDFR
DFFINED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THr BOARD OF CO1,TTr27`'IOTTFRS OF
TTiT CITY OF PADTTCAH, K1lTTUCKY:
SFCTION 1,
That there is hereby levied for the year 1929, upon
the taxable property within the City of Paducah, Kentucky, real and
personal, an ad valorem tax of One Dollar & 50/100 (f1.50) Cents,
pursuant to Section 157 of the State Constitution, and Ninety-seven
(,0.97) Cents, pursuant to the State Constitution and Statutes of
Kentucky to defray the expenses of maintaining the schools, and
Seventeen (,0.17) Cents, pursuant to said Constitution and Statutes
for the purpose of paying the interest on the School Improvement
Bonds and to create a Sinking Fund for the payment of said Bonds at
maturity, making a total of TT7o & 64/100 (,2.64) Dollars on each
One Hundred Dollars :orth of said real and personal property in the
City of Paducah, Kentucky; and there is also hereby levied a poll
tax of One & 50/100 (el.50) Dollars on each male resident of the
City of. Paducah over 21 years of age for the year 1929.
SECTION 2.
That the rate of taxation for each item of expenditure,'
as heretofore apportioned and set out by ordinance, shall be on each
one hundred dollars worth of property, as follows, to -wit:

SF.CTION 3.
That all revenues derived from licenses or other
sources collected and naid to the Commissioner of Public Finance,
shall be distributed to t',ieir respec'ive accounts in the same
proportion as the ad valorem tax, as hereinbefore provided for,
excent sources of revenue which hnve not been co-isidcrcd in making
up the apport ionT�ent ordinance and in the event of the collection
or • ny revenue 1.rhich was not consi•'ored in making up said apportion-
Iment ordnance, then such revenue shall be credited to the general
fund';
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take ef,'eet from and after its
passage, record and pub.ication.
