MiFRFAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah,
entucky has heretofore on the 15th d7y of October, 1928 adopted an
ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE PPOVIVING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF

ROM THF S^UTH PROPERTY LINE OF KENTUCKY AVENUE TO THF NORTH
PROPFRTY LINE OF i:'ASHINGTON STR77T IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, MCCRACIEN
OUNTY, KENTUCKY, 512TH ALL NECESSARY DRIVEIgAYS, IWANHOLES, INTAKES,
CATCH BASINS AND SD.VER PIPE, AND ALL NECESSARY ENGINFFRING, ADVERTISINP

that the cost of construction of s^id side;valk, curb and gutter,
riveways and all other work done thereunder be paid for by the
butting Droperty owners on the Fast side of Twenty-second Street
vhere said -,ork was done, except that portion to be paid by the City
Of Paducah as rea aired by law, and

and the work thereunder finished and accepted by the Board of
Commissioners of the City of Paducah on the 13th day of February, 1929,
pursuant to the recommendation made therefor by the Commissioner of
Public °!orks and pursuant to a motion made by said Commissioner, which i
motion was duly adopted by the Board of Comirissioners, NOVI, THF.RFFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THF BOARD OF COi"PL'I°.5IONFRS
OF TITF CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTTICKY:
SECTION 1.
That all of the property on the Fast side of Twenty-second
Street from the South broperty line of. Kentucky Avenue to the „orth
property line of P!ashington Street, be,.and the same is hereby assessed
for the cost of construction of concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, and
all necessary driveways, manholes, intakes, catch basins and sewer
pipe, and all necessary engineering, advertising and legal and clerical
service in connection therewith. All of said work has been done under
the ordinance and contract aforesaid and said assessment is as follows,
to -wit:

As shown by the Engineer's Estimates on file in the office of the
Commissioner of. Pqlzlic ''forks, which estimates are adopted and made part
hereof.
SFCTION 2.
That all of the funds derived from the assessment of said
property aforesaid shall be used for the purpose of paying off the tax
bills issued against said property, or such bonds as may be issued
by the City of Paducah pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky
Statutes.
SECTION 3.
That pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes,
as amended and re-enabted and now in force, said assessments may be,
at the option of the property o,^-ners, payable in cash within thirty
days from the date of the passing.and recording of this ordinanee, or
in ten annual installments, pursuant to the Drovisions of said Statutes.
SECTION 4.
In order to provide a fund for the immediate payment of
the cost of that portion of the special assessments herein provided
for, •nnd which may be paid on the ten year installment plan, as
hereinbefore provided for, the City of Paducah may issue and sell

Improvement Bonds, and to secure the payment of which bonds, there
is hereby pledged such taxes and liens upon the property assessed
herein for the payment of the principal and interest on such bonds,
but such bonds shall not be sold for less than par, and the
proceeds thereof applied exclusively to payment for the improvement
of said streets as hereinbefore mentioned, and such bonds, if
issued, shall bear interest and shall be payable in accordance
with the provisions of Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes, as
amended and re-enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky and nor! in force and effect.

SECTION 5,
This ordinance shall take @ffect and be in force
from and after its passage, record and publication;
