:'1HF1EAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Oity of Pa�ucah
Kentucky has heretofore on the 17th day of September, 1928 adopted
an ordinance entitled, "AN OPDD'P,!CE PPOVTDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF CURB AND GUTTER ON BOTH SIDES OF SEVFTTTH STRF_T, FROM THE NORTH
PROPERTY LINE OF IiUSBANDS STP.TFT TO THE SOUTH CURB LINE OF CALDC!ELL

and the stork thereunder finished and accepted by the Board of Com-
missioners of the City of Paducah, lentucky on the 7th day of December,
1928, pursuant to the recommendation made therefor by the Commissioner of
Public 'Arks ^nd -ursuant to a motion made by said Commissioner, which
motion wes duly adopted by the Board of Commissioners, NWV, THrRr:FOR-,
BE IT ORDAINFD BY THE BOARD OF COMIMFF IONFRC OF THE
CITY OP PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That all of the property on both sides of Caldwell Street
from the '::est property line of seventh street to the East curb line of
Eighth Street, and on both sides of Seventh Street from the North pro-
perty line of Husbands Streot to the South curb line of Caldwell Street,
be, and the same is hereby assessed for the cost of construction of
concrete driveways, curb and gutter, and all necessary engineering,
advertising and legal and clerical service in connection therewith, to-
gether with all necessary manholes, intakes, catch basins and sewer
pipe. All of said work has been done under the ordinance and. contract
aforesaid and said assessment is as follows, to -wit:
Concrete Gutter 39V per lin, ft.
Driveway 35V per sq, ft.
" curb straight 60� per lin, ft.
" curb curved 65.
� per lin. ft.
Cost of expansion joints, interest,
engineering andinspection & extra
work $0.1470565894 per dollar of construction
cost
As shown by the Engineers estimates on file in the clfV'lce of the
Commissioner of Public ':'forks, which estimates are adopted and made part
hereof .
SECTION 2.
That all of tnc funds derived from the assessment of said
property aforesaid shall be used for the purpose of paying off the tax
bills issued against said property, or such bonds as may be issued by the
City of Paducah pursuant to Section 3101 of the 1'entucky Statutes.
SECTION 3.
That pursuant to Section 3101 of the 1`entucky Statutes, as
amended and re-enacted and now in force, said assessments mqy be, at the
option of the property orners, payable in cash within thirty days from
the date 6f the passing and recording of this ordinance, or in ten
annual installments,pursuant to the provisions of said Statutes.
SECTTON 4.
In order to provide a fund for the immediate payment of
the cost of that portion of the speci-il assessments herein provided for,
and which ,,ny be rc id on the ton yo^r .*Lnstnllmcnt plan, as he rcinbefore

provided for, the City of Paducah may issue and sell Improvement
Bonds, and to secure the payment of which bonds there is hrroby
pledged such taxes and liens uron the property assessed herein for
the payment of t) -o orincipal and interest on such bonds, but said
bonds shall. not be sold for leers than par, and the proceeds thereof
applied exclusively to payment for the improvement of said street
as hereinbefore mentioned, and such bonds, if issued, shall bear
interest and shall be payable in accordance with the provisions of
Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes, as amended and re-enacted by
the deneral Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and now in force
and effect.
SECTION 5.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage, record and publication.
