vided that the cost of the construction of said streets and and drive -

spection of said work and the recommendation of acceptance made therefor

SECTION 1.
That all of the Property on both sides of Flyers or Fourth
Street, from the East property line of Clements Street to the East
end of the Fourth Street Bridge, and from the 'lest end of Fourth
Street Bridge to the East property line of Broad U reet, and on
Bridge Street from the Y?est property line of Clements Street to the
East end of ahat is known as the Sixth Street Bridge, in the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, as shown by the Engineer's estimates, be,
and the same is hereb7 assessed for the cost of construction of an
improved or asphalt street, with all necessary curbs, gutters,
manholes, intakes, catch basins, senor pipe, and all necessary
engineering, advertisin and legal and clerical service in
connection therewith. All of said work has been done under.

SECTION 2.
That all of the funds derived from the assessment of
said property aforesaid shall be used for the purpose of paying off the
ta;: bills issued against said property, or such bonds as may be issued
by the City of Paducah pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes.
SECTION 3.
That pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statute
as amended and re-enacted and noir in force, said assessments may be,
at the option of the propert-; c-:.-ners, payable in cash tisithin thirty days

from the date of t'^e passing and recording of this ordinance, or in ten
annual installments, pursuant to the provisions of s^.id Statutes. +I
SECTION 4.
In order to provide a fund for the irmmediate payment
of the cost of that portion of the special assessments herein provided
for, and which may be p::;ft oil the ten year installment plan, as herein-
before provide-' for, the City of Paducah Lai issue and sell improvementbonds, and to secure the payment of which bonds, there is hereby pledged
such taxes and liens upon the property assessed h,rein for the payment
of the principal and. interest on such bonds, but said bonds shall not
be sold for less than par, and the probeeds thereof applied exclusively
to payment for the i movement of said"streets as hereinbefore mentioned,
and such bonds, if issued, shall bear interest and shall be -payable in
accordance rAth the provisions of Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes,
as amended and re-enacted by the General :ssembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky and no•a in force and effect.
SECTION 5.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage, record and ublication',
