71AS, the City of Paducah in McCracken County, Kentucky,

deslres to obtain and procure the establishment of a sea-wall or
flood protection wall in Sections "A" and "B" of said flood pro- !JI
Lection wall as shown by plans thereof on file in the office of the
United States EnSineers in Paducah, Kentucky, and in the office ofi
the City tanager of Paducah, Kentucky, for the protection of its
citizens and their property from the ravages and damages of floors)
I{ occasioned by rising waters in the Ohio River and tributaries ther{-
N to, and said city has arranged through the Federal Government a
plan by which such sea -.:all in the aforesaid sections "A" and "B"
;,ill be constructed by tate Federal Government upon the condition
t':tat the City contiibute to and furnish the ri3ht-of-way and all
properties and easements necessary for use in the construction
of a sea -mall in said sections; and the Federal overnmont having
by survey located a route, place and site therefor, and having
submitted to the City of Paducah plans, drawings and outlines

for this purpose, together with the properties of persons through
and over which the sea-wall should be constructed in said sections.,

basis of description for the purposes of this resolution, and,

necessary in the aforesaid Sections "A" and "B" in order to eatabli

only be acquired by condemnation;

SECTION 1.
That all of the property shown in Sections "A" and "B" of the
Survey made by the United Sates Enincers for the location of the
sea -mall for the City of Paducah, according to survey described
in the preamble hereto, with all properties embraced therein for �
'the location of said sea-vrall, for borrow: pits and temporary and
permanent uses in the construction of said sea -mall, and which
tracts and parcels of real estate are owned by numerous and diverse
persons residents or non-residents of the State of Kentucky, and all
shovm on said survey plat may and drawing with the amounts necessarN
and required and needed for said public purpose, is hereby declared 11
to be deeded and is necessary for the purpose of constructing said sei

and necessary properties in the eonstruct:on thereof for the pro-
tection of the citizens and their properties in the City of Paducah;
and because of all which the same is hereby ordered to be
condemned as provided by law in such cases Sado and provided.
SECTIOII 2.
