SECTION 1;
The term"Motor Bus" as used in this ordinance shall
refer to and include any and all motor propelled vehicles used for
the purpose of carrying passengers for hire on the streets of
Paducah under fixed and defined routes and on fixed or regulated
schedule as to time,and which charge a fixed and uniform fare for
carrying said passengers.
SECTION 2.

the Commissioner of Public Finance, which registration shall carry
the motor number and the car number, together with the seating
capacity thereof, and pay the fee or license required therefor by
this ordinance: The annual license tax and registration fee, as
herein provided, shall be ns follows: For every motor bus having
seating capacity of twenty or less ;100;00 per year and u5.00 per
year for each additional seat over and above the twenty seats.
The seat for the driver shall not be construed as one of the seats
included herein. Wo motor bus shall be permitted by its operator
to carry a greater nuanber of passRnSers than fifty (50/') per cont
over its seating capacity. The license or registration fee herein
_provided shall be for the full calendar year, and the license or
Ii registration fee for the year 1928 shall be collected only for the
period of time from July 1st, 1928 to December 31, 1928, inclusive,
and shall be one-half of the annual fee herein provided.
SECTION 3.
Any person, firm, company or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not less
than Ten ($110.00) Dollars nor more than One Ilundred 0100.00)
Dollars. Each day that any motor bus is operated in violation
of the provisions of this ordinance shall constitute a separate
' and distinct offense, and no motor bus shall be operated without
first being registered and paying the registration fee or license
as herein provided. The license tax and regulatory provisions
of this ordinance shall be in addition to the license tax and all
other regulatory provir•ions now in force in s;ild city.

SPCTIOU 4.
All licenses and registration fees herein provided shall
be {Haid into the City treasury and covered into the general funds
of said City;
SECTION 5.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after the first day of July, 1928
