SECTION 1

�aqu All electric wiring and a;•uliances hereinafter in-
w
stalled in or attached to any building or structure, within the
corporate limits of this city, shall be installed in accordance
v:ith the rules, regulations and requirements of the National
Electrical Code and the inspection authority having jurisz�iction.
Any and all electric wiring hereafter installed in
any baildin or structure, other than in one or two-family private
dwellings within the corporate limits, shall, if such wiring is to
carry a current exceeding fifty volts, be installed In iron con-
duits, metal molding or armoured cable, installed in such a manner.
s to comply with the requirements of the above mentioned Code.
All flexible cords used in connection with iron conduits, metal
molding or ar.coured cable wiring, shall be approved portable
cords. All �atcrlals, flexible cords, fittings or devices shall
be of an approved type. It shall be unlawful for any p.rson, firm
or corporation to conceal electric wiring until after said wiring
:;hall have been inspected by the Electrical Inspector to be desig-
nated by the City and a certificate of approval issued. It shall
be unlawful for any electric light or power company to connect
with, or furnish current to any electric installation within the

corporate limits of thy: city, until after such electric installat- '
shall have been in-pected by said Electrical Inspector and a
__.tificate of approval and acceptance Issued.

therein has not thereafter been replaced or renewed.
SECTION 2.
For the purpose of carrying into effect the pro-
visions of this ordinance the position of electrical inspector is /
hereby created srd established, and said Electrical Inspector sh 11
Ue a person qualified to perform the duties required in Section It
hereof, and in addition th.reto said Electrical Inspector shall
collect and account for the fees and charges provided in Section 3
hereof. For his services said Electrical Inspector shall be paid
at the end of each month a sum equivalent to the amount collected
!and turned into the City Treasury on said electrical inspection fees
SECTION 3.
For making electrical inspections as provided in
Section 1 hereof, th,re shall be charged to each person owning or
having property inspected the following rates for said service, to -
wit;
For each inspection of property with
wiring thereon, and to irclude not
over a 3 circuit job ............. 75¢
For each additional circuit on
such job ......................... 2N
For inspection of electric signs,
each ............................. 500
For re -inspections, each......... 25.'
When the inspector has made an inspection: he shall
give to the owner, or person in charge of the property, a certifi-
cate stating that he has so inspected said property, and showing
whether or rot he has approved or condemned the electric wiring. All
charges for Inspections of every kind should be collected by the
inspector and reported and paid to the City Treasurer, giving the ,
t,ane of the person whose property is inspected, the location of the
property, the date of inspection and the amount collected or
chvrged. The inspector shall have the right, ani is hereby express-
ly giver. the right, power and authority to enter all premises in the
e of the city for the purpose of making such inspections.
