PROSECUTE ACTIONS IN THS N141E OF THE CITY FOR THE RECOVERY OF TAXES
UPON O'1ITTED PROPERTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO=ISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and
i
empowered to enttr into, sign and execute a contract with Albert
i
Karnes, Attorney of Paducah, Kentucky, authorizing and empowering
the said Albert Karnes as Attorney and Agent of the City of
Paducah to recover by action or other legal or proper proceeding,
i
taxes upon property omitted from assessments and subject to tax- j
ation by the City for any or all of the past five (5) years. The
compensation of said Attorney and Agent shall be an amount equal
to one-third (1/3) of whatever taxes, penalties and interest are
actually recovered by him, or through proceedings instituted
or prosecuted by him for the City of Paducah.
Any employment as authorized herein may be terminated

by th Board of Commissioners at any time after notice to the said
Attorney and Agent, but such termination shall not affect his right
to compensation upon any items or taxable property in action or '
proceedings commenced by him prior to such intent on to terminate I
the contract.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
