AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE HAULING OF GARBAGE Iii THE
.CITY OF PADUCAH, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF

THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. 1
Every p_rson collecting or hauling garbage in the City
of Paducah other than dry trash, ashes and pape , shall put same in
metal containers with tight fitting tops, and such tops shall be sod

fitted and adjusted as to prevent said garbage from spilling or
1 aking, and to prevent the odor therefrom from spreading as or
while the same is being hauled on the streets, alleys or thorough-
fares of the city. Every person collecting or hauling garbage
jconsisting of dry trash, ashes, paper and other dry refuse shall
cause the same to be placed in containers with tight fitting
tops so a._ju�ted a: to prevent said trash or garbage from spilling
for leaking from such containers or vehicles while being hauled on
'the streets, alleys or thoroughfares. Any p..rson failing in any
respect to so gather up, haul or move such garbage in such con-
tainers as above required, and who shall violate the provisions of
!this ordinance with respect to the gathering up, covering up and
hauling the same as herein provided, shall be guilty of a mis-
imeanor, and upon conviction of such violation shall be fined in any

!sum not less than $5.00 nor more than $25.00.
SECTION 2.
It being in the interest of public health, safety
and comfort of the people of Paducah that th,-_ provisions of this
ordinance shall be speedily put into operation, this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
