AN ORDINANCE RECULATING THE HAULING OF COhL, CRUSHED
OR BROKEN STONE OR MASONRY AND GRAVEL IN THE CITY OF PArUCAH, AND
PROVIDING. PEI\ALTIES FOR VIOL"TION THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO1.'2ZIS3IONF..RS OF THE
CITY OF P,>,I CAH, KENTUCKY;
SECTION I.
No person, firm, company or corporation hauling or
delivering coal, broken stone or masonry of any kind or grovel
in the City of Paducah shall lord the vehicle conveying same
above the level of the top of the side -boards or sides or ends of
such vehicle. It is the purpose of this ordinance to require sucl..
vehicle to be so loaded that coal, broken stone or masonry or
gravel while being hauled through or over the streets, alleys and
thoroughferes of the city of ?aducnh, shall not be so loaded
that such coal, stone, masonry or -gravel can roll or fall or be
jolted off of such vehicle onto the surface of the street. Any
person, firm, company or corporation hauling any of the com-
modities herein described in violation of the requirements of thi:
ordinance, shall be fined in any sum not less than $5.00 nor more
than 425.00 for each violation thereof.
SECTION 2.
The public safety requiring that the streets and drive-
ways of the city be free from lumps of coal, or of stone, masonry
and gravel dropping or faling from overloaded vehicles, this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
