BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KEIMUCKY: That both sides of Greer .Street, from the north property line of 12th Street to the south property line of 11th Street; on both sides of Bridge Street from the north property line of Flora Street to the south property line of Kinkead Avenue; and also on Bridge Street, from the, west property line of Clements Street to the east property line of Jarrett Street, in the Citi* of Paducah, ICentucky, in accordance with the plans and specifications provided therefor by the City Engineer, and which plans and specifications are on file in the office of the Eng of sail City, an3.are hereby referred to and rude part hereof as if specifically set forth herein. SECTION 2. Said imnrovement shall be made under the direction and supervision of the City Engineer and the Board of Public 7orks of said Ci y, and shall commence and be completed at the tine designated by contract. SECTION 3. The cost of such construction shall be paid for by the pr�pfrty owners fronting or abutting thereon, to be apportioned and assessed again k the property and the prnperty owners abutting thereon according to the number of abutting feet, except that portion, if any, to be paid by the Cit- of Paducah as required by law. �'- -�-`• _ . SECTION 4. The contractor awardedthe contract for the work herein provided shall be paid in accordance with the nrovisions of Sections 30901 3100, 3101 and 3102 of the Kentucky Statutes. Il I'0. 979. SECTION 5. The Payor of said City is hereby authorized and directed to execute written contract required of t'e successful bidder for the i construction of said improvement; also to approve the construction bond required by the contractor. II SECTIOR 6. i I Bids shall be received for the improvement herein provided for, in accoodance with the plans and specifications and profile furnished by the lity Engineer of said City, and the contract therefor shall be awarded the lowest and best bidder, except the right is expressly reserved to reject any and all bids within the discretion of the General Council, and said General Council may accept any bid i which appears to be for the best interest of the City. i SECTION 7. I The Board of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the construction of said improvement, which' bids said Board will report to the General Council, together with its, recommendation of any of same or the rejection of all of same.
