A RESOLUTION GRANTING THE PALUCiLH RAILWAY COMPANY THE RIGHT
TO OPERATE BUSSES OVER CERTAIN STREETS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND
MODIFYING SECTION 10 OF THE FRANCHISE GRANTED THE PADUCAH RAILWAY COMPAN
ON THE; 4TH DAY OF APRIL, 1919.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH:
SECTION 1.
The Paducah Railway Company shall not be required to operate)
street cars on the following named streets; On Sixth Street from Broadw¢y
to Broad Street; on Broad Street from Sixth Street to Island Creek; on
Third Street from Broadway to Broad Street; on Broad Street from Third
Street.to Sixth Street; on the Benton Road or Bridge Street, beginning
at Island Creek to Clements Street; on Clements Street from the Benton
Road or Bridge Street to Yeiser Avenue; on Yeiser Avenue from Clements
Street to Hayes Avenue; on Hays Avenue from Yeiser Avenue to the Benton
Road or Bridge Street; on the Benton Road to the former City Limits;
on Sixth Street from Broadway to Madison Street; on Madison Street from
Sixth Street to Twelfth Street; on Twelfth Street from Madison Street t�
Trimble Street; on Trimble Street from Twelfth Street to Sixteenth Stregt
or the Oak Grove Oemetery, so long as busses are operated by said Paducah
Street Railway Company over the following Streets; On Bridge Street from
the present City Limits to Clements Street; on Clements Street from
Bridge Street or the Benton Road to Leyers Street; on Meyers Street from
Clements Street to Broad Street; on Broad Street from Meyers Street to
Third Street; on Third Street from Broad Street to Washington Street; �
on Washington Street from Third Street to Fourth Street; on Fourth Street
from Washington Street to Jefferson Street; on Jefferson Street from
Fourth Street to Eleventh Street; on Eleventh Street from Jefferson Street
to Monroe Street; on Monroe Street from Eleventh Street to Thirteenth
Street; on Thirteenth Street from Monroe Street to Trimble Street; on
Trimble Street from Thirteenth Street to Seventeenth Street; on Seventeetth
Street from Trimble Street to Clay Street; on Clay Street from Seventeenth
Street to S&xteenth Street; on Sixteenth Street from Clay Street to
Trimble Street.
SECTION 11.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Paducah Railway Company
is hereby given the right to operate bussess over the folloVing named
Streets in the City of Paducah:
Commencing at Thirty-second and Jeffe'rson Streets, and
on Thirty-second Street from Jefferson Street to Broadway; on Broadway
from Thirtyrgecond 3re.et to Tenth Street or Murrell Boulevard; on Tenth
Street, or Murrell Boulevard , from Broadway to Kentucky Avenue; on
NO. 949.
Kentucky avenue from Tenth Street or Murrell Boulevard to Fourth
Street; on Fourth Street from Kentucky Avenue to Washington Street;
on Washington Street from Fourth Street to Third Street; on Third
Street from Washington Street to Kentucky Avenue; on Kentucky "venue
from Third Street to Fourth Street.
SECTION 111.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: The operation of busses on the
Streets named in the last paragraph of the first Section of this
Resolution, shall be a compliance with Section 10 of the rranchise
granted by the City of Paducah to the Paducah Railway Company on
April 4th, 1919, and the operation of busses over said streets is

hereby declared to be in lieu of the operation of street cars over the
Benton Road or Bridge Street, across Island Creek to Clements Street;:
on Clements Street from the Benton Road or Bridge Street to Yeiser
Avenue; on Yeiser avenue from Clements Street to Hayes Avenue; on

on the Benton Road or Bridge Street to the former City Limits; on

SECTION 1V.
BE IT FURTHER.RESOLVED that the adoption of this resolution
shall not be taken or construed as a surrender by the City of Paducah
of any right it now has or may hereafter have to license and regulabe
persons or Companies transporting passengers by busses over the Streets
of Paducah.
SECTION V.
This Resolution shall take effect from its passage and
approval.
