HERETOFORE CONSTRUCTED, AS PARTICULARLY SHOWN BY THE PLANS OF THE CITY
ENGINEER THEREFOR, TOGETHER -WITH ALL NECESSARY I:TANHOLES, INTAn-S, CATCH

COST OF THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS, AND PROVIDING THAT SAI,r SHALL BE
CONSTRUCTED UPON HE 10 YEAR PAYMENT PLAN,
BE ITT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That both sides of 13th street from the North curb line of
Tennessee Street to the South curb line of Jackson Street; both sides of
Tennessee Street from the West curb line of 16th Street to the North curb
line of Guthrie Avenue; both sides of North 11th Street from the north
property line of Madison Street to the South curb line of Trimble Street;
both sides of Idionroe Street from the ;Vest property line of Fountain Avenue
(17th Street) to the East curb line of 19th Street; both sides of 20th
Street, 21st Street, 22nd Street, 23rd Street, 24th Street and 25th Street
on the East side only, from the North property line of Broadway Street to
the South property line of Jefferson Street; both sides of I:Iadison and
Harrison Streets from the West property line of 12th Street to the East
property line of Harrihan B-)ulevard (15th Street); both sides of South

5th Street from the South curb line of Jackson Street to the North curb
line of Norton Street; both sides of 20th Street from the South pro-Lerty
line of Broadway to the North pi•operty line of Kentucky Avenue; both sides
of North 6th Street and North 7th Street from the North curb line of
Madison Street to the South curb line of Trimble Street; both sides of
Clay Street from the *West curb line of 19th Street to the East curb line
of 21st Street, if extended, all in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be and
the same are hereby ordered to be improved by the construction of concrete
sidewalks and gutters, and curbs of either granite or concrete, as may be
determined upon receipt of bids as the best and most economical material
theiefor•, including all intersections not heretofore constructed as
particularly shown on the plans of the City Engineer therefor, together
with all necessary manholes, intakes, catch basins, sewer pipe connections
and cast iron drain pipes, in accordance ciith the plans, specifications,
grades and profile furnished by the City Engineer of said City, which
plans, specifications and profile on file in the office of said City
Engineer ai-e now referred to and made a part hereof as if specifically set
forth herein.
SECTION 2.
Said work shall be performed ander the direction and supervision
pf the said City Engineer and the Board of Public Plorks of said City, and
shall be commenced at the time designated by contract thei:e.f or, and com-
pleted on or before December the 1st, 1924.
SECTION 3.
The cost of such construction shall be paid f•or wholly by the
property owners abutting or fronting thereon to be apportioned and assessed
against the property and property owners thereon, according to,the_number
of abutting feet thereon.
SECTION 4.
The contractor awarded the contract for the work herein shall
be paid as provided in Sections 3096, 3100, 3101 and 3102 of the Kentucky
Statutes.
SECTION 5.
The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute all
written contracts and bo4ds required of the successful bidder for the
construction of said improvements in accordance with the laws applicable
thereto.

SECTION 6.

The bids shall be received for the construction of said improvement
according to the plans and specifications made and provided therefor by
said City Engineer, and the contract for the doing of such work shall be
awarded to the lowest and best bidder, except the right is expressly
reserved to reject any and all bids, within the discretion of the General
Council, but any bid that is deemed for the best interest of the City of
Paducah may be accepted.
SECTION 7.
The Board of Public Works of said City is hereby authorized and
directed to advertise for bids for the construction of said improvement,
and said Board of Public TWorks will make 'recommendations upon the bids so
received.
SECTION 8.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from its passage,
record and publication.
