THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PLANUAND
SPECIFICATIONS PROVIDED THEREFOR BY THE CITY ENGINEER, AT ThE COST
OF THY ABUTTING PROPERTY O NERS, AND PROVIDING THAT SUCH COST MAY BE
PAID FOR UNDER THE 'PEN YEAR PAYMENT PLAN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE
--_ CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That both sides of 9th Street from the south property

line of Tennessee Street to the north curb line of Norton Street, except

the intersection already constructed at Jones Street; both Aides of

12th Street from the south property line of Jackson Street to the north
[property line of Tennessee Street, except the intersection already
constructed at Ohio Street; both sides of Adams Street from the west j
property line of 19th Street to the east property line of 21st Street;

both sides of Clark Street from the west property line of 19th Street
to the east nroperty line of 21st Street; both sides of Jackson Street
from the west property line of 9th Street to the east, property line of
10th Street; both sides of 7th Street from the south property line of
Washington Street to the north curb line of Jackson Street; on the north
side of Husband Street from the west property line of 6th Street to the
east curb line of 11th Street; on the south side of Husband Street from
the west prop-rty line of 9th Street to the east curb line of 11th Street;
on the east side of 10th Street from the south property line of Jones
Street to the north property line of Elizabeth Street, except the inter-
sections at Caldwell and Husband Streets; on the west side of 10th Street
from the south property line of Jones Street to the south line of the 80
foot lot bought by Paducah Brick & Tile Company from Christ Liebel, except
the intersections at Caldwell and Husband Streets; both sides of Caldwell
Street from the west curb line of 8th Street to the east curb line of 9th.
Street; also sidewalk on bdth sides of 12th Street from the south property
line of Tennessee Street to the north property line of Jones Street, in the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, be improved by the construction of concrete
sidewalks and gutters, and curbs of either concrete or granite, according,
to bid accepted, together with all necessary manholes, intakes, catch
basins, driveways and sewer pipe connections, in accordance with the plans
and specifications provided therefor by the City Engineer, and which plans
and specifications will arrear on file in the office of said EnPineer, and
are now referred to and made part hereof, as if specifically set forth
herein.
SECTION 2.
Said const;vuction shall be made under the direction and
supervision of the City Engineer and Board of P>>blic ti9orks of said City,
and shall commence and be completed at the time designated by contract.
SECTION 3.
The cost of such construction sha. -
11�be paSd for wholly by
the nroperty owners fronting thereon, to be apportioned to and assessed
against the property and the property owners abuttilig thereon, according
to the number of abutting feet thereon, except that portiot�:tto be paid
by the City of Paducah as required by law.
SECTION 4.

The contractor awarded the contract for tie improvement
herein provided for shall be paid in accordance with the terms and provisions
of Sections 3096, 3100, 3101 and 3102 of the Kentucky Statutes.

SECTION 5.
The Mayor of said City is hereby authorized and directed to
execute contract and accept bond required to be executed by the con9
tractor awarded the contract for such construction.
SECTION 6.
Bids shall, be received for the improvement herein provided

for in accordance with the plans and specifications made and provid

Itherefor by the City Engineer, and the Contract fherefor shall be
' awarded to the lowest and best bidder, except the right is reserved
to reject any and all bids within the discretion of the General
Council, and it may accept any bid which appears to be for the best
li interest of said City.
SECTION 7.
The Board of Public '.'.corks is hereby authorized to adverti
for bids for the construction of said improvement, and to make report
of same to the General Oouncil, together with its recommendation for
the acceptance of any of same, or the rejection of all of same.
SECTION S.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage, approval and publication.
