BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF Yi ri CHn, KENTUCKY:

SECTION 1.
That Yogroe Street, on the south .side thereof, from the
west property line of Twenty-first street to the east property life
of Twenty-fifth Street; and on the north side'thereof, from the west)
property line of Twenty -Second Street to the east property lire of
Twenty- Fifth Street, and Twenty-fourth Street (on both sides thereof)
from the north property line of Jeffersrn Street to the south property
line of Monroe Street, in the City of raducah, Kentucky, b@ improved
of concrete sidewalks, and curbs add gutters where-
by the construction
ever necessary, together with all necessary manholes, intakes, drain
pipes, driveways and sewer connections, in accordance with the plens
and specifications provided therefor by the City Engineer, and which
plans and specifications will appear on file in the office of said
Engineer, and are now referred to and made part hereof, as if specifi-
tally set forth herein.
SECTION 2.
Said construction shall be made under the supervision and
direction of the City Engineer and Board of Public Works of said City,
and shall commence and be completed at the time designated by con-
tract.
SECTION 3.
The cost of such construction shall be paid for wholly
by the property owners fronting thereon, to be ap*,ortioned to, and
assessed avainst the property and the nrpperty owners abutting thereon,
according; to the number of abutting feet thereon, except that portion
to be raid by the City of Paducah as required by law.
NO. 8138.
SitCTION 4.
The contractor awarded the contract for the improvement herein
provided for shall be paid in accordance with the terms and provisions

of Sections 3096, 3100, 3101 and 3102 of the Kentucky Statutes.

SECTION 5.
I
The Nayor of said City is Hereby authorized and directed to
execute contract and accept bond required to be executed by the contractor
awarded the contract for such construction.
SECTION 6.
Bids shall be received for the improvement herein provided for
in accordance with the plans and specifications made and provided therefor
by the City Engineer, and the contract therefor shall be awarded to the lowest
and best bidder, extent the right is reserved to reject any and all bids
within the discretion of the General Council, and it may accept any bid
which appears to be for the best interest of said City.
Sr:CTION 7.
The Board of Public Works is hereby authorized to advertises
for bids for the construction of said improvement, and to make report of
same to the General Council, together with its recommendation for the
acceptance of any of same, or the rejection of all of same.
SECTION g,

This ordinance shall take effect and be in Force from
and after its passaF;e, apnroval and publication.
