AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IYPROVEKENT OF FIFTEENTH STREET
FROM THF SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF BROADN!AY TO THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF
KFNTUCKY AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BY THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A HARD SURFACE ROADWAY, TOGETHER !WITH ALL NECESSARY MANHOLES, INTAKES,
CATCH BASINS, DRIVEWAYS AND SEWER PIPE; CONNECTIONS, AND ALSO CURBS AND
GUTTERS, OF EITHER CONCRETE OR GFANITE, IN ACCOPIIANCE ".'ITH THE PLANS AND
, CIFICATIONS PROVIDED THEREFOR BY THE CITY ENGINEER, AT THE COST OF ThE
ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS, AND PROVIDING THAT THE COST OF SUCH COIISTRUCTI611
MAY BE PAID IN ACCORDANCE `."ITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE TEN YEAR PAYMENT PLAN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That Fifteenth Street from the south property line of Broadway
to the north property line of Kentucky Avenue, in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be improved by the construction of a hard surface roadway,
together with all necessary manholes, intakes, catch basins, driveways
and sewer pipe connections, and also curbs and gutters of either concrete
or granite, in accordance with the plans and specifications nrovided
therefor by the City Engineer, and which plans and specifications will
appear on file in the office of said Engineer, -nd are now referred to
and made part ]hereof, as if specifically set forth herein.
SECTION 2.
Said construction shall be made under the supervision and
direction of the'City.Engineer, and Board of Public Works of said City,
and shall commence and be completed at the time designated by contract.
SFCTIOIJ 3.
The cost of such construction shall be paid for wholly by the
property owners fronting thereon, to be apportioned to and assessed the
property and the property owners abutting thereon, according to the numb(
of abutting feet thereon, except that portion to be paid by the City of
Paducah as required by law.
�'FCTION 4.
The contractor awarded the contract for the improvement herei
provided for shall be paid in accordance with the terms and provisions
of Sections 3096, 3100, 3101 and 3102 of theKentucky Statutes.
SECTION 5.
I
The Mayor of said City is hereby authorized and directed to
execute contract and accept bond required to be executed by the comtractor
awarded the contract for such construction.

SECTION 6.
Bids shall be received for the improvement herein provided for'
in accordance with the plans and specifications made cnd provided
therefor by the City Engineer, rind the Contract therefor shall be
awarded to the lowest and best bidder, except the right is reserved
to reject any and all bids within the discrdtion of the General Coungil
and it may accept any bid which appears to be for the best interest If
ICity.
SECTION 7.
II The Board of Public Works is hereby authorized to advertis,
for bids for the construction of said improvement, and to make repos
of same to the Genual Council, together with its recommendation fol
jI the acceptance of any of same, or the rejection of all of same.
SECTION 8.
This ordinance shall take effect :nd be in force from ar
after its passage, approval and publication.
