RETAILING YERCHANDISE FROVi RAILROAD CARS.
AN ORDINANCE DEFINING AND REr.ULATING THE BUSINESS OF
RETAILING MERCHr,i'DISE FROM RAILROAi. D CARS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY; FIXING A LICENSE MERSFOR-AND A PENALTY FOF FAILING TO PRO-
CURE SUCH LICENSE -
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Ph]AICA. ,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That any person, firm, company or corporation that shall
engage in the business of selling goods, wares or merchandise of any
kind, by retail from railroad cars In the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
shall first be required to obtain from said City, a license therefor
STICTION 11.
Any person, firm, company or corporation disposing* of goods
wares or merchandise of any kind at retail from railroad cars, in
said City, shall be liable for said license tax., and to a penalty
for having* done business without license.
A license tax of Fifty Dollars per ,year is hereby fixed,
established, imposed and levied on the business of merchandising, fro
railroad cars, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky. And any person,
firm, company or corporation that shall engage in such business shal
first procure the license aforesaid from said City.
Every person, firm, company or corporation violatingr, the
provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of misdemeanor, and
subject to a fine of not less than N25.00 nor more than $50.00 for
each offense; and each day of such violation shall constitute a
separate offense.
SECTION V.
This ordinance shall be in force after its passage,
approval and publication; and all ordinances and parts of ordinances'
in conflict herewith are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
