PlHEREAS, there has been created and established in the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, Sewer District Q, which has been divided into sub-
divisions "A", "B" and "C"; and,
!'.'HEREAS a trunk line sewer has been constructed nt the cost of
the City of Paducah, in sub -division "A", of sui4 ^ewer District Y'3; and,
WHEREAS the General Council of said City has heretofore adopted
a resolution declaring* the construction pf such sewers in said sewer Zone
Q "A", in sub -division "A" of Sanitary Sewer District 13, in said City,
to be a necessity; NOV,', THERLFORL,
BE IT OHDi'INED BY THE GENERAL COUTCIL OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KEITUCKY:
SECTION 1.
There is hereby created a combined storm water and Sewer Zone
#7 ";", (which is supplementary to Sewer Zone #7) in sub -division "A", of
Sewer District `3, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, which is particularl
described as follows:
"Beginning at a point on the westwardly boundary line of
Zone No. 4, 198 feet south of the center line of Madison Street,
and 531 feet guest of the center line of 19th Street; thence, west-
wardly on a line 198 feet south o' and parallel to the renter line
of Madison Street to the center line of 21st Street; thence south
along the center line of 21st Street to the intersection with the
center line of the east and west alley between Madison and Monroe
Street; thence westwardly, along the center line of said alley and
this center line extended to the intersection with the center line
of 25th Street; thence, southwardly alonE the center line of
25th Street to the intersection with the center line extended of the
east and west alley between Monroe and Jefferson Streets, a point
214.75 feet north of the center line of Jefferson Street, a point in
the boundary line of Zone No. 4, thence east✓✓ardly with the center
line of said alley anj along the boundary line of Zone No. 4 to a
point 125 feet west .of the center line o,: 19th Street; thence
northwerdly with the' boundary line of Zone No. 4, 194.75 feet to
the center fine of Monroe Street; thence, westwardly with the
boundary line of Zone Vo. 4, 146 feet along the center line of Yonroe
Street; thence northwardly with the boundary line of Zone No. 4,
to a point 198 feet south of the center line of Madison Street;
thence westwardly with the boundary line of Zone No. 4, feet to the!
point of hevinnin✓?. "
SECTION 2.
That storm and sanitary sewers in combined form be constructed
alongr, and under the streets and alleys, in staid Sewer Zone 17 "A", in
sub -division "I" of Sanitary Sewer District %✓3, in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, at the cost ofithe owners of property and the lots or parcels•

Of r?-o„nd located therein, and all of such lots or parcels of mound
located in said Zone are hereby declared to be the property henefitte
and subject to assessment for the cost of such construction, and suet
streets and alleys along and under which said sewers shall. be con-
structed are named and described as follows, to -wit:
"On Monroe Street, commencing at Lhe Sunt in the
Pain Sewer at Monroe and 19th Streets; thence west on
Yonroe Street to the center line of 25th Street.”
SECTION 3.
The cost of the comtstruction of said sewer shall be
anportioned equally against the abutting lots or parcels of land,
in said Sewer Zone #7 "A" of Sanitary Sewer District f3, as follows:
First: All of the lots or parcels of ground abt5tting

or bounding on the hereinabove named streets or alleys along or under
which said sewer shall be constructed are hereby declared to be the
property benefitted thereby, and said cost shall be apnortioned and
assessed equally a['ainst said abutting lots or parcels of ground
according to t e number of abutting feet thereon, provided the cost
of such construction shall not exceed $2.00 per abutting foot.
SECOND: In the event the cost Of construction of said
servers shall exceed $2.00
per abutting foot along said streets or
alleys whereon said sewers shall be constructed, in said sewer zone,
then such cost shall be apportioned against all of the lots or parcells
of ground so benefitted by said construction, according to the area
In souare feet of the lots or lands benefitted thereby.
SECTION 4.
Notice is hereby given'to the owners of all property in
I said Sewer Zone #7 "A" of sub -division "A" in Sanitary DisY,rict Nb. 3,
and all property bounding or abutting on said streets or alleys,
that the cost of construction of said sewers will be assessed against
said property in the manner hereinabove provided. And said sewers
shall be constructed in strict accordance with the plans and specifi-
cations provided by the City Engineer of said City, and which have
been heretofore adopted by the General Council of said City.
SECTION 5.
A blue print or plat showing the boundary of Sewer Zone!
#7 "�", of Sub -division "A" in Sanitary Sewer District #3, and showing
by name the streets embraced in said zone, -nd the line tnd course of
the sewer to be constructed has heretofore been filed with the City
Clerk of said City, and is now referred to and made part hereof on
file in the office of the City Engineer and may he inspected at any
li time on application at that office.

SECTION 6.
Bids will be received for the construction of said sewers accord-
ing to the plans and specifications provided therefor;; and the contract
for the construction of same shall be awarded to the lowest and best
bidder, except the right is expressly reserved to reject any and all bids,
within the discretion of the General Council, and it may accept any bid
which appears to be for -the best interest of the City of Paducah?
SECTION 7.
Said work shall be done under the direction and supervision of
the City Engineer or the authorized engineer of said City, and the Board:
of Public Works of said City, or other authorized agents, and the same
shall commence and be completed at the time designated by contract.
SECTION 8.
The Contractor awarded the contract for the work herein provided
shall�be paid only from the funds arising from Special tai: bills or
assessments made against the property located in said sewer zone, except'
said contractor may be paid out of such funds as may be issued according
to law in acco-dance with the provisions of Sections 3105, 3101 and 3102;
of the Kentucky Statutes.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and aft
its passage, apnroval and publication.
